I feel like Peter from Office Space.
Okay, you want to sell some tires and wheels to me, you're going to have to work a little bit harder. I asked you three questions: what Mazda did the wheels come from, what's the make/model of the tires, and what are the date codes.
"They came off a Mazda 626" was your answer.
I'll give you 7 points out of 10 for that. A year would have been good information, but all the years used the same bolt pattern, so I got where I needed to be.
That does not, however, give me any insight whatsoever into the other two questions. So maybe get after that?
I ordered something online on Feb 20th for "ship to store," expected pickup 28Feb. "Allow 7-12 days for ship to store" - fine, so it might not be fast.
Radio silence, and no tracking information is shared with the customer. I email Customer Service yesterday and they tell me the item arrived at the store February 27th - apparently just nobody told me??
In reply to wae :
Good luck with that.
I can't believe how many ads I see for tires, rims, or wheels with no, little, or even wrong information. And lately I'm seeing ads for motocross bikes that don't even say what the bike is. I know a Kawi from KTM, but it's not always obvious what size or model it is by looking
I've been to a lot of races but not any NASCAR. There's a Chicago street race in July - local? Buy some tickets? Why travel so far for a race?
General admission- $269
Reserved seats - $475
Two tickets, parking, walking, maybe get shot....not sure about this.
In reply to Datsun310Guy :
Yikes, I remember not being happy about paying $85 for Brickyard 400 tickets when Indy 500 tickets were $10 or so cheaper.

Would that be the 4x110 626, the 4x4.5 626, or the 5x4.5 626?
Rant: Scantool is giving me fuel pressure readings in PSIa but the PID just reads "psi".
I think.
It is awfully suspicious that the PID is 15psi higher than the fuel pressure tester gauge, but I am still unsure. It also is giving me .9v out from the sender when then fuel line is disconnected from the HPFP, which is also suspicious.
And of course the car is not acting up in any way right now.
In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
Oh, well, the picture did show that they were 5-lug so I wasn't thinking about the older 4-lug stuff.
In reply to eastsideTim :
The funny thing is people I know will hear there's a "car race" in Chicago and ask if I'm going. You're into racing.
I thought it might be fun to go but not $750 fun.
So had the sump pump fail a couple weeks ago and today the ejector pump decided not to shut off. Luckily just the float switch AND it just handles the washing machine and nothing else.

Pid is absolute pressure? Volvo?
In reply to wae :
Guy came on a Jeep forum and posted "looking for half doors". The first reply was "2 or 4 dr" and the 2nd reply was "what color". Guy got butthurt and posted "Why are people asking me random questions, if you don't have any for sale, move along" so of course the next 25 posts are simply "I have a set for sale"
That's your wheel seller, guaranteed.

It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand.

Could you read that?
Then flip him over.
CONEXPO trade show next week - flight arrives in Vegas at 2:30pm on Monday. Trade Show matches the museum hours then I fly out early Thursday @ 8:30am.
If you've noticed changes and changing to other other flights is expensive and unattainable.
So when I fly in I'll make up a reason and trying to get by the museum on Monday afternoon. It's FREE and 3 miles from the airport. Also I'm not making it over to BRE Pete Brock unless he can come get me.
This job cuts into my personal life.
I have a long time friend I worry about. I've mostly cut him from my life, but not entirely. Last summer he moved from UT to MD and asked me to store a few guitars until he and his *wife had sorted and settled. No big deal. Since the move, he's gotten worse with his recurring alcohol issues. He's been through half a dozen trash jobs that he can't hold. Two months ago he asked me to sell one of the guitars. I did, and asked if he wanted me to use some of that money to ship the rest to him. Not right now. Still settling. Ok. I send the money. Not a week later, he calls and asks to borrow $20 for "bread and jam". A week after that, he calls and wants me to pose as a former employer to help get a job. No, I'll truthfully tel them we've worked together and that you're a good worker, easy to talk to and smart and all that. But I'm not going to lie for you. That's when I stopped answering calls and texts. Until yesterday when he says he has the money and wants me to send a guitar. Fine, I package and send it. He pays me. Shouldn't be an issue, but it bugs me. Not sending him what he owns, that's just fine. Not even the slow pace and extended time storing it. Just the interaction. I don't want to resent the guy, but I think I'm starting to. After I sent tracking he asked a couple other favors. I declined.
We've been a decade getting here. Dude, you know the steps. You know the right roads. You know how to get your life on track but you refuse to do so. Instead it's use and abuse and blame everyone else. I'm done.
*she's a very nice gal from overseas, got a good job in Baltimore teaching mandarin. We're not close, but friendly. Problem is she doesn't seem to see the situation buddy is putting himself in. It's pretty bad. He's hurting. If I can tell, she should be able to. Starting to suspect she's just in it for residence.
I really hate thinking this poorly about people.
I'm such a dumb a$$.
Every damn year I forget to consider daylight savings time when planning business trips.
Usually I go from PT to CT for a two hour time zone hit but this year I'm going to South Carolina which is on ET for a nice big fatty three hour time zone hit.
I'll be starting work next week at 4:00 AM.
Emergency trip to hardware store... 1.5 miles, 5 traffic lights (each way). More time spent sitting at lights than driving and in store combined...
Yesterday a badge fell off of my car. The good news is that it fell off into my hand after I'd just driven three hours, so I can put it back on.
