Done, Sir.

That's just Outlook being Outlook. Last year I stayed late to make sure everything that had to be sent out before my vacation was done and sent. Got on a train to the airport, just caught my flight, and when I landed in Washington about 70 people contact me looking for things Outlook decided to hold onto for a bit.
Windshield wipers! Why can't I just buy refills!!!??
Trying to replace the wipers on our motorhome... it has a bolt-through mount, and every replacement (even the Trico for my application) has the new "J hook" attachment. Even after removing the plastic crap the wiper body is too wide to fit in the existing bracket. I had to pull the blades out of the replacements and fit them into the old arms after paying for the complete assembly.
For anything that will take inserts and 26" or less, just buy the 650mm replacement inserts from Honda. They are like $8 each, cut them to your desired size and they are great quality.
Toyota also sells inserts, though there are several different styles. If you can take your existing blade to the parts counter, you may be able to match the profile of your insert with one of theirs.
Had to chuckle at the "new" j-hook attachment comment. If it's the one I am thinking of, it's at least thirty years old.
How old is this motorhome?
Yup, they're 32". I could probably get away with 28", but no-one in town carries anything but the J-hook style.
Even the ones I ordered came with the wrong attachment, though the picture on Trico's site shows the old style. I'm guessing they were 'updated', and the pic was never changed.

I was able to use the 32" blades that had the wrong arm attachment to replace the blades in the old arms. I'm just irritated I had to pay for the whole arm to basically get a re-fill.
Now that I know what I know, I'll check at truck stops. We're leaving on a trip soon and we'll be stopping at several for fuel.

Yes, this! Similarly, the trend (looking at you Ford Explorers) that have the LED turn signal completely surrounded by an LED stop light so your eye catches the flashing but then it's like staring into the sun at a stop light.
Another round-a-bout story. There is one everyday! So this morning I'm deciding on which of the two lanes I should be in to get through this without coming to a full stop. Do I follow the Lexus with out-of-state plates or the crane. I picked the Lexus. Whoops! Dude, you got passed by a crane in a round-a-bout!!!!
Todays (and many other days) rant.
People commenting on car crash videos make me go insane.
Picture this video, there are hundreds of them. Two lane road, cam driver driving along, car turn left in front of them, cam driver lays on horn, no brake/squeezing tires, and CRASH.
Some people comment on the fact the cam driver might have avoided or lessened damage by being more proactive. Very true, defensive driving...
Then other commenters attack those people. The favorite comment I see all the time is "Well what if it was a fully loaded semi truck?!?!, they can't stop on a dime!" Well the video has audio and it certainly had no engine noise and sounded more like a car horn and not a semi.
I avoid commenting on them in the end but sometimes take a minute to write something out. Like it would be nice if someone would understand that they should be watching all the time and prepared to at least try to avoid an accident.
Ebay rant;
Seller is a junkyard with a rear axle listed. Says free shipping. Description shows in big letters "READ SHIPPING INFORMATION BEFORE BUYING!" with about a dozen exclamation points. Shipping in says the lower 48 are okay and certain items can't be shipped to alaska/hawaii and there may be extra charges for those. I presume airbags and seatbelt retractors that can't be airmailed. I buy it and then get a message saying freight will be 650 and they'd like to send me another invoice.
I don't mind paying for shipping but you can't say free shipping and then welch on that. Especially on a medium duty differential. That's a good chunk of coin.
In reply to iansane :
Did the listing say free shipping? Did the listing give a way to get a shipping quote? If they are adding costs not listed, you might want to report that. I totally get "buyer pays actual shipping," but there is a way to list that requirement and get a quote.

The whole point of driving a large SUV is that you don't have to look out the windshield. You can just smash into things with impunity.
So I was told by someone looking to buy a Suburban.

There is an eBay option to list for "Freight" shipping, which is not a fixed price.
Those listings get put at the end of searches "price with shipping lowest first", though, no matter the price listed.
Definitely disingenuous, and sounds like they were gaming the search engine.

I'm always careful looking at any heavy eBay item. I've seen that same thing. It is misleading to see the "Free Shipping" when it's really local pickup or freight calculated later.
When I bought the front subframe for my Audi TT the eBay ad listed free shipping. It's cast aluminum and not huge but it's not that small either. I messaged the seller and they did verify that they were actually offering free shipping. Came out of FL to CT.
I'm sorry. I know you think you are a special case that deserves to move to the top of the list, but that is not going to happen. Not for what you are willing to pay. You being a 4-hour round trip away doesn't help you at all. I can't piss off my local customers to make sure your problems are taken care of. You will have to wait in line with everyone else.
I'm glad we own a house, but sometimes it's less fun when we're budgeting for things like well pump replacement and tree removal instead of exciting racecar stuff.
One thing at a time, I guess.
I let the cat out this morning thinking that I could trust her after several months of trialing (even had the screen open) instead she ran off and I have no idea where she's at. Spent half the day looking for her, and still no sign.
