I no longer live where it says I live in my profile. Otherwise it would have been much easier
I'm at a concert that was advertised to start at 7;00. It's 8:30 and a comedian came on for 20 min 40 min ago. What in the world....
Even more odd, some people are just getting to their seats.

Performers are a lot like physicians... they prove to themselves how important they are by making people wait for them.

Ever been to a Madonna concert? I saw her on her last tour and she was about three hours late. Apparently most of the audience knew that she goes on late but I was there early and sat around and waited. And waited. And waited.
Madonna is one of those acts whose shows I do not take calls for. When she comes to Atlantic City, she always plays at Boardwalk Hall, a huge depression area arena that is still one of the largest freestanding spaces in the world (and holds the largest pipe organ in the world) and she does NOT like air conditioning.
I am no fan of AC either, but when it is 90+ degrees out, the inside of that building gets very hot and humid. She also left a huge amount of distaste in this town due to our flag.
We have a VERY large American Flag hanging on the wall opposite the stage. Last time she was in town, she would not go on stage until it was taken down. The Stagehands refused, so management had to do it.
When we put it back up, we dead hung it. It is nearly impossible to bring down without a LOT of work and people.
She also comes with dozens of trucks.. it makes for a very long load in and out, in a hot and sweaty arena.
The concert was great, but one minor rant. When I buy tickets to see and hear someone, I don't want to hear just the audience. I'm fine with everyone singing, as long as the act is more.
Most of the time someone mentions that they bought a new car on the forum, everyone congratulates them, yet in car loan threads people are basically called dumb for buying a new car. Every - single - time.
In reply to Appleseed:
It's like some deep, meaningful revelation is being imparted that used cars are cheaper than new cars.
In reply to Appleseed: same could be said for kids if one was cynical. I love mine to death but they are expensive creatures.
I just don't like work.
I do work--I work hard and I work often--but I would really rather be at home with my dogs.
I understand you mtn. I love my work, I love what I do, my co-workers, not so much. If they would just let me work alone most of the time, I would be a very happy camper. I would also get more done as they enjoy standing around and yapping too much
Why the hell did my transmission have to go out on the truck, 45 miles from home? Why did it have to do it when I only have the motorcycle as available transportation, on the the week it's supposed to rain for the first time in 4 weeks, and get our first real cold spell? I hate this crap.

I hear ya. I like my career. I like my job. I like my coworkers. I like my work environment. If I could retire tomorrow I would start cleaning my desk out right now.
I just found out that the 'Honest Company' disposable diapers my wife has been buying for our 9-month-old cost $1 a piece.
WTH

holy E36 M3.... 9 months.. I.. that's.. at an average of 8 diapers a day, $2160 on diapers...
I absolutely hate CAN networks when they aren't working right. I can troubleshoot electronics all day long with a multimeter, and that's not adequate at all with CAN. The immediate result of this is that I have a very expensive customer machine that is currently inoperable, 5 days past the deadline, while I wait for someone who knows how the berkeley to troubleshoot this E36 M3.

Man, that sucks. I hope it gets worked out quickly and reasonably. Not to bust your stones in particular, but this seems appropriate:

OHHHHHH boy. That's......a lot.
We've been using cloth diapers. They're actually a lot less hassle than we were expecting.

That is a lot. Diapers are expensive, but Pampers Swaddlers is kind of the gold standard of disposable diapers and they're about $.20/ea. Pamper's Baby Dry is $.10/ea. From Amazon assuming you have prime for the free shipping - you should do it. Stick a label on the box that says "Honest."

I had a very similar incident in my Cherokee a couple weeks ago. Stench of coolant, worry sets in, the nervous drive home watching the temp gauge (which is actually an idiot light that I have no clue whether it works or not)...Pin hole in upper rad hose, 2 min fix. Maybe its a 'Jeep thing' lol.

Buy a scope. There's really only three things that go wrong with a canbus. The most common is you have a module that draws the comm line down to 0 volts. Second is you have an open in a line, third is you have 12 volts coming into the line. Really, the toughest thing is finding good, reliable service information.
I berkeleying hate them, but its becoming a critical part of life. I once had a charging problem in a Volvo causes by a wee bit of corrosion in the connector into the drivers door, and a security no-start by a green connector on the diff module on a XC70...

Oh the irony…
Go big or go home…make a fake label that reads “The only thing that's full of more E36 M3 than the diapers is this box”.

Good god man!? May as well give her a roll of dollar bills to use in place of wet wipes.
berkeley these companies do a good job of guilting parents into spending entirely to much on things
