I’m used to help desk people talking down to me, I’m sure walking inept bus drivers through what seems to be a simple procedure isn’t how you dreamed you’d be spending your Saturdays. However if I have to sit through your superiority act for 45 minutes I should end up with my problem resolved. To have you say “Gee, I’ve never seen this before. Call back Monday”sounds like you’re no brighter than I am.
At one time I would have considered Chuck a friend. But the more I'm around him, the less I want to be.
He's the type of person that likes to discuss, argue, and debate. The problem is, he is only willing to do so if he clearly has more knowledge on the subject than anyone else. He cannot be wrong. He can be, but he refuses to acknowledge it.
He likes to corner people when they're not ready to talk, and he especially likes talking down to you. He rode a buddy so hard yesterday at a barbecue, that he just up, and left. Chuck was laughing at what he did later, like angering him was the whole goal.
Later he began arguing the existence of God-with a principal of a Catholic grade school.
I'm done with this shiny happy person.

I've been up for 32 hours.
In a year my mom and stepdad have gone from clean bill of health and occasional forgetfulness (respectively) to depressed and dementia-ridden enough that they've stood me up for meal plans three times in a row now.
And I'm the only one of their children who is still local.
Yay!
at work today I found myself paired with my least favourite co-worker. He's getting solar panels put in and was going on and on and on and on and on and on and on about the camo netting he was putting on the backside (these are ground mounted panels) to the point where I found my brain shutting off and my body falling asleep just to protect myself. The guy loves to talk, it's all he really does. I had to get up and do something before I became a victim

I know that routine well, wasn't only production but facility wide. They wasted money by the dump truck load. Part of the reason I left and never looked back.
I'll never work anything production related ever again. Nope, nope, nope.

I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. Mine had been dormant since I went on meds in 1999.

It lasts until they are about 5 or so.

Two was when my daughter got really fun. I know there are challenges, but they're learning so much and just really coming to grips with the world. I love it. My older daughter's about to turn 3 and it's just about the best thing ever. Try to enjoy it, man. They don't stay little for long.
Scored an appointment for an interview for a different role inside the company. 10 minutes later the recruiter called back and said she made a mistake and my salary bracket is too high and I'd have to chop $20k off my base and unknown amounts off my bonus. So my search continues...
How "Hey honey, I would be willing to take this drastic step if it would help your health" turns into "you guilt tripping, selfish, condescending prick!" I will never ever ever ever ever ever know. It sure is frustrating though.
Once, after a particularly spectacular fight, my father carried his not-petite girlfriend to the door, opened the door, set her gently down on the mat, closed and locked the door and walked back. He stopped, with his head slightly downward as he neared me. I was maybe 12. He said "Tuna, sometimes I think castration really is the only answer."
My new billet wheels look awsome. However, i could tell there would be slight rubbing.
It was slight right up until i sliced 2 sidewallsand trashed the quarters before making it the two blocks home.

My plan used to be to just sponsor someone who wanted to college, instead of raising one from scratch.
Nowadays, I'm not so sure.
