Some constructive criticism of the new calendar, it seems the calendar itself and the car porn pictures have taken the back seat to all the ads.

I think that's why it is free with subscription. Someone's gotta pay for it - either the advertisers or the readers.

It's been "free" for years and yet has been usable. For the very first time mine hit the trash which means it did neither the advertisers, GRM or the readers any good.

A good calendar has a life of much greater than just the year it's from. I have calendars from multiple years still posted in the house, garage and shop just due to the car porn.

Wurth's calendars certainly get plenty of play at our shop. If you know what I mean.

Is a calendar coming in one of the issues?

Mine was here when I got Home last night (otr driver).

The advertising isn't overdone and keeps my favorite may going.

I do have a request for next year. Can you include more challenge cars?

I like the GRM calendar - it's at home - but ... it's the CM calendar that I use at work.

Hope y'all don't mind.

"For the first time"? It's been the same layout for years. Just dug last year's out of the trash to make sure--sizes are all the same.

Same thing here, too. Same layout.

I'm not real psyched about the lack of diversity in the photos, but hey, it's free, and it's car pr0n either way.

Same here, I was disappointed yesterday to see nothing but Grand Am cars.

But something has to pay the bills.

Well then maybe it's not the first year it's hit the trash then because the one I compared the new one to had bigger pictures and a bigger calendar portion with much less space devoted to ads. Are there more ads and less white space this year? I didn't keep last years calendar either but I don't remember this many ads so maybe it was the same format but less writing.

I'm going to have to brave the cold and go out to the shop to see what year that one was.

But the point is still the same. Calendar and pics come first, ads come second. You don't really think we keep these things just for the calendar do you - it's the car porn.

As far as Challenge vs. Grand Am vs. etc. most calendars seem to be thematic and just as long as they're good shots I don't really care the theme. As mentioned, I tend to keep them for the pics way past their due date.

One of the best calendars I've gotten in recent history was one from Sebring. It shows a lot of vintage cars on track throughout the years. Pretty cool. That one is hung in my clothes closet to help get me motivated in the mornings.

I used mine last year as my day to day calendar.

I use a Porsche North America calendar in my office that I write all the races I want to watch on it at the beginning of the season. (That calendar is all ads...don't care though.)

Mine was on that truck in NYC. I went on line to buy a calendar for $12.95, but add $12 for shipping? No calendar's that nice.

Don't worry, Dan, we're remailing all the issues that were on the truck that crashed. You'll have your calendar, just a couple weeks late this year. Don't do anything drastic!

Perkins diesel used to make the very best calendars in the world. If you are a manpig like me, anyway.

I'd have to give the nod to the Pirelli calendar myself.

I haven't seen it yet...the recent years have been lacking the sleek/artistic format of old. Not liking the new direction.

Thanx. I usually get a nice B&W of tall ships or something to use at work.

You saved Trish $12, maybe I'll buy her lunch.
