Interesting world view.

As one who abides by rights, but doesn't believe in words on a paper, I disagree. Sometimes there is literally nothing more than being beaten to within an inch of your life required to make you change your ways. Its like a slap to the face, the shock to the system is sometimes required to put things in life into perspective.

This guy "probably" has a new appreciation for the consequences that come from threatening ones family.

I am also uncomfortable with someone being held for over a year without a trial. I thought there were others that agreed with this perspective (Guantanamo, police actions without warrant, etc.), but I don't mind standing alone.
