i was wondering if anyone knows where i can order prescription sunglasses, with my HSA card, using a prescription that is current and recent? every place here in town has like 12 frames with tinted lenses. im looking for something rugged, beefy, and frankly, expensive. i am allowed to use my HSA for glasses everywhere else, can i do it online?
TIA!

Try www.zennioptical.com/
You also might try www.rx-safety.com/ They have some pretty bullet proof looking driving and shooting glasses.
I don't know about the HSA card, but it never hurts to ask.
My FSA card has a Visa logo on it, so I can use it anywhere that takes Visa. I do have to submit a receipt showing it's an eligible expense though. The more pertinent questions may be to your prescriptions - I explored the online places, and I am too nearsighted for Warby Parker. They won't do any astigmatisms that are worse than very mild, either.
If you have vision insurance through VSP, they also have an online glasses store that you can explore once you're logged in - but again, because my prescription is so bad it's not an option for me.

Zennioptical was the answer that I got to the same question in a staggering landslide.
You can reimburse yourself from FSA or HSA or HRA by law, you just have to figure out the process from your plan organizer folks. Mine is quite easy.
I just ordered two pairs of glasses from an online retailer for $150 that would have cost me $600 at my local chain. I will have to wait to see if the quality is there, but glasses last me about a year anyway so I would prefer cheap and disposable anyway. I wasn't able to use my insurance, but I still saved $450 so who cares? AND they had the frames I wanted which none of the local chains had.

You should be able to order ANY frames you want with tinted lenses, not just the ones that are tinted on display. If they can make them in regular glasses, they can make them in tinted.
Do you also have an HSA check book? I'm pretty sure that you can reimburse yourself for eligible stuff if you use another form of payment and have a receipt.
thanks for the info, i will look into all of it.
I love this board...
