My guess: it was a planned skit meant to distract the opposing player from catching the foul ball. Looking at it, I don't think he actually hit him.

Or, they may have done it as a prank because they knew a camera would be pointed at them when the ball came their way. I hear they can get pretty bored, and creative, in the bullpin sometimes.

Looks like the grab may have been made with the throttle shut, since he slows down to about the same speed pretty quickly... Looks like the handoff may be made at a stop?
