I was curious what you gearheads read when you aren't reading GRM? I'm not interested in other car mags really, so we can skip those suggestions.
I'll occasionally buy an F1 mag or similar, but the only other magazine I subscribe to is VICE.
So what is GRM reading?
Popular Mechanics, and going to sign up for MAKE soon.

1) Mental Floss - pretty much the only other print magazine I read cover to cover.
2) Smithsonian - used to read this one a lot, lately just subscribing out of inertia.
3) National Geographic - mostly for the pictures. Wait, that didn't sound right.
There are magazines not about cars?!?
Time and Popular Mechanics.
Time, Cycle World and Popular Mechanics.
Organic Gardening, The Atlantic
Fine Scale Modeler, Scale Auto, and LEGO Club are my non-car ones.
National Geographic, Outdoor Life, American Rifleman, Recoil
smithsonian for me. Still a good magazine.
Small Craft Advisor.. SCA is the GRM of boating
Make.. needs no introduction
Forgot Vegetarian Times and VegNews.
Basically I'm looking for some more interesting mags to subscribe to.
Due to financial reasons, GRM and Car and Driver are the only ones I am subscribed to currently. These are ones I have subscribed to in the last few years and enjoyed:
RV Magazine - Even if I don't have one
Hobby Farm - Don't let the name fool you, it's actually a great magazine for anyone who lives on some acreage.
Trains - For my railfan needs.
Model Railroader - I've had an on-and-off subscription to this since I was a kid.
Chicago - I visit the city enough to want to keep up with the happenings.
Midwest Living - My wife originally got this for herself, but I ended up enjoying it.

Mental Floss is fun and interesting. No set topic; just a huge variety of subjects, some treated in short blurbs and some in more in-depth articles. I recommend it.
Scots
Scottish Life
Scotland
The Highlander (can't tell we have an interest in our ancestry)
The Writer
Writer's Digest
Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine
Analog Science Fiction & Fact
American Cowboy
Rock and Gem
Rocks and Minerals
New Mexico Magazine
Arizona Highways
True West
Wild West
Colorado Outdoors
Sorry about taking up so much space but I cannot make the list appear single spaced - it becomes a long list of unseparated words.
A lot of us have the same subscriptions it seems.
We have Make, Smithsonian, Mental Floss, National Geographic, and Mother Earth News
I feel almost lame admitting I only subscribe to Auto-related publications. I read other peoples American Rifleman, Reptiles, and Smithsonian occasionally. Otherwise I Barnes and Noble the rest based on interest.
I have 4 subs and they are all car rags... Now if you want the freebie reads from waiting inline or wife or in the doctors office, I read pretty much everything. I did use up my 2 free issues of Clean Eating magazine and should send them some $ for a subscription.
Recoil Magazine is my new guilty pleasure. Love the format.

I subscribe to the NY Times, which is a paper and not a magazine, but I figured I'd toss that in.
And they're raising their rates in Jan to $8.20 a week for the Sunday-only (along with other increases, this is the version I'm on) and I'm non-impressed. Over $400 a year for the thing??
In reply to pinchvalve:
Same here. Did you see the Jeep in the last issue?
I ended up getting my subscription through my Nook becuase it cost a ton less.

I was surprised there was other magazines, period. I keep seeing something called Car and Driver at a friends house.
