I listened to a bit of the VP debate last night, and I realized that in my lifetime, I have never heard a politician of any kind, denomination, party, age, race, or any other criteria give an actual, straight, factual answer to anything, ever. If I asked someone I was interviewing for a job a straight question and got the kind of meandering, fluffy, off-topic, horse crap answer that all politicians default to, I would laugh them out of the conference room. Apologies for the political post, I avoid discussing politics and religion online like the plague, but it was on the radio before I could get back to my audiobook.
