yup 80% of the time I ride my trek Soho S. Dec and Jan is not riding weather.
I will leave later than most people and still get home before the do.

+1.
If it ever gets bad enough that I can't drive home, I can just walk.
I came out of work one snowy day last year to find a front tire flat. Seeing how deep the snow was on the roads, I didn't bother to change the tire - just 'skiied' it home, pumped it up and was back in business.

I work in a 24/7/365 department that deals with time-sensitive data, so I have to be here. I drove 30 miles south to work today.I need new snow tires for my Scooby, it got a little tail-happy at times. At least the company is paying for a local hotel room for me to shack up in overnight.
Just finished part 2 of my shoveling. I think it passed the 1' mark here (North Providence RI)
Driving home from Dedham, MA last night was easy--roads were fairly empty, crept along @ 30-35mph. EG Civic w/ snow tires pulled through everything without much drama.
As I was getting to my neighborhood and seeing cars getting stuck on hills left and right, I wonder again why people think that all-seasons are enough. Unless it's AWD, all seasons just don't cut it.
it's pretty bad here in the PAC NW cause they don't salt the roads (good for finding rust free classics not so good for getting rid of ice) and since the people here can't even drive in the rain let alone a little ice man it's really E36 M3ty
