This is timely. Our freezer just arrived (don't ever have FedEx deliver a freezer. Dumbasses.) And now we're getting into freezing all the things. I work for a resteraunt distributor, so I get cheap bulk stuff. And costCo, yo. Now the trick is to figure out which foodsaver is appropriate for us. We plan to prep in advance and freeze so we can just pull something out and have it ready as much as possible.
Still rolling along with the one we got in 2011. Wife's latest idea was to freeze the blueberries she picked on a tray and then bag them. Keep it from smushing the berries. So I decided to see if I could do the same with some of the extra tomatoes we have. Slice, Freeze, and Bag. Will have to wait a bit to see how it worked.
Last week we did a batch(24) of stuffed peppers and 5 quart bags of Spaghetti sauce.
