Hot day today. A couple of these went very nicely.
The good news - While I ponder over the weekend the purchase of a '59 Turner race car that Woody so generously inspected for me, Mad_Ratel is also generously travelling 1.5 hours (!) to inspect an MGB race car for me tomorrow.
The other good news - Its finally not raining, so I can go home and cut the grass while I'm drinking.
The bad news - The country is going to Hell. So I'm going to cutout of work early and get started on the drinking...
It is the BIG 50 for me this weekend so lets just say this could get interesting. If I don't post up on Monday send out a rescue party.

I saw a nice '64 Sprite racer for sale at Thompson last weekend. Price $13,500 but no doubt negotiable. Very fast too! But it's garaged in NH and know you didn't want to travel that far.
So, it's 5:15 Friday afternoon and I've only had one beer. We need more bad puns!
In reply to Gary:
Well mad had to back out looking at the MGB. Gary, do you have any info on the Sprite?

Our Yeungling song could be called "Take me drunk, I'm home".

I just sent you a PM.
Time to revive this thread. I'm waiting until 3:00 to pop a 16 oz. tall boy of Narragansett Summer Ale. Just finished cutting the grass and I'm quite parched. Happy weekend everyone.
(Time of posting was actually 2:58, not 1:58 as shown).

The words are "RAAAAALPH". Everyone sings it in the bathroom or the ground on the way to it.
I've had a few glasses of pretty good Bordeaux by now this evening. The guy at the liquor store where I buy it by the case calls it "Bore-Douche." I think that's kind of funny.
I got off an hour early from work and found a bottle of this at "Tacoma Boys". But it was late and I didn't want to wake ya'll.
Cheers!
Finishing up a week of vacation. The recycling tub of empties is simply astonishing. Cases of wine, beer by the bushels basket, bourbon. Ahh the bourbon. Back to Kentucky today though.....
I went out with a buddy last night. This morning I thought there was no way I'd want to drink any beer tonight. I was wrong.
In reply to bravenrace:
I did that last night too, only with a martini and then wine. I told myself this morning that I wasn't going to drink for the entire weekend. I was wrong too.
Dangit, SOMEONE left most of a bottle of Crown Royal here.
Must have been Past Me. He's always making trouble.

On my second one right now:

(I hate the dumb, stupid, egotistical and condescending personal comments on Beer Advocate. I think if you like a beer, you drink it. Otherwise, you don't. Same with wine).
Been working on my Spitfire in a hot garage most of the day. PBR probably would have been adequate, but fortunately I had a few of these boys in the fridge.
Happy weekend everyone.
