i always hate it when i see the words "FoxNews" and "facts" in the same sentence.. they don't generally belong together at all..

They belong together, You do know that the news part gets their info from Rueters and AP just like alphabet soup channels, right? What you've done is conflate their OP-ED with their news. It's ok though. It's a mistake a lot of people make.

they choose what stories they are doing to report and how they are going to report them, just like every other network.
I think that I am better off not watching televised news, and in fact, I don't. It attempts to filter and condense complex issues into digestible, black-and-white morsels, when the reality is anything but. Left, right; right, wrong; us, them.
How to make television news: Take some information, run it through a grinder, add some fat and gristle, and season with yelling and "personality."
In other news, the Occupy people are violent.

On Facebook, a dude makes a wild exclamation that he is going to bomb the police.
This indicts the entire movement as violent?
Just like a woman makes a wild claim about sexual harassment... See what I did there?

The more I think about it, the less I understand your comparison.
Showing how people, in particular, Fast Eddie, like to make sweeping generalizations based on one piece of information.
In reply to racerfink:
In Eddie's defense - the Cain allegations include several women and two decent sized settlements that he personally signed. He denied this at first but then the memory came back to him. Cain's explanations just don't pass the smell test to me.
As for the OWS people, I think they are generally peaceful but almost surely there are a number of whack jobs mixed in.

Wow, I didn't even say anything. Talk about your sweeping generalizations!

Peaceful, yes, but when you don't comply with the law, you may as well be considered not peaceful. Compliance keeps everyone safe.
Why can they kick occupiers out of places, but not the westboro guys?

There's a lot that smells bad about the allegations against Cain. At least one of them is your assertion that he signed two settlements. One accuser's lawyers specifically stated that Cain did not sign the agreement; the NRA did. I don't have info on the second. Do you?
If Cain has a history of predatory behaviour, isn't just a wee bit peculiar that the only allegations have occurred in the 3-yr period he was at the NRA? The man has been in the business sector for over forty years and there hasn't been any other claim made against him. If there's a blood trail to follow, why haven't the piranhas come forth with more evidence?
If there are whack jobs in the OWS crowd, there can also be whack jobs in the NRA or any other organization. In either case, it only takes a few to destroy reputations or aspirations.
