Recently remembered this kickass fighting game and its awesome soundtrack for some reason:

Still holds up. Also digging the weirdly '80s box art.

I've been going back through the back catalog of Queens of the Stone Age. They are one of my favorite bands, and one of the best bands I've ever seen live. And I've seen some great bands over the years, AIC with Layne, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Gojira, Ozzy, Smashing Pumpkins, The Melvins, Mastodon, etc.

We are going to see them next week, super excited. I haven't seen them since the ....Like Clockwork tour, and my fiance has become a big fan of them as I've shown her their music. She also has a big crush on the lead singer, Josh Homme.

I passed up the chance to see them a month or so ago at an outdoor covered pavilion, maybe 3000 seats?  I was just too busy at the time.

A friend saw them at the show I skipped, and said it was great.

I generally dislike songs that are too focused on weed, but there are exceptions.

Watching a video breakdown of just how crazy and nuanced "It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" was.

It was performed live for every filming and was different every time.

Hey, Peabody, do you know these folks?

They were something like 20 years old when this album was recorded, and unfortunately their record company went bust and screwed them.  They broke up before releasing a second album, but this one is great:

I do not, but I looked it up. Apparently 16 when they recorded that. Awfully mature sounding music for 16.

I'm listening to this today
