There was some discussion about Tom Hanks movies in the minor confessions thread recently, it got me to thinking about the actor that I hate love, but love anyway, Bill Murray.
My favorite Bill Murray movies are "The life Aquatic" and "Groundhog Day". Honorable mentions go to "What about Bob" and "Osmosis Jones"
I hated Groundhog Day the first time that I saw it, I wanted my 2 hours back. But now it keeps getting better every time that I watch it. What about Bob has become something that I've learned to appreciate more with years of life experience and multiple real life Bob encounters.
My wife and I make "The life Aquatic" references almost every day, we love that no one ever gets it.
Caddy Shack. I quote it daily. What About Bob and Scrooged are good too.

Stripes or ghostbusters.... Hard for me to choose.
I would say Stripes and Caddyshack, but he is one of those actors that can make almost any movie a lot better then it might otherwise be. His cameos in Zombieland and Kinpin were classic. Of his later stuff, I kind of like Rushmore.
Trivia: you may wonder why he did Garfield 2. Apparently he saw the writer was Cohen, and accepted it without reading it, only to later realize it was not the Cohen brothers!
I celebrate the guy's entire catalog.
Stripes and groundhog day.
Really like Lost in Translation.
If I had to choose, and thank god I don't, Ghostbusters. Endlessly quotable.

Heck yeah, last week while we watching ghostbusters, my wife told me she has never seen caddyshack, it's on its way from amazon now
I kinda liked his video from Party in the USA...
Hotlink from the hotlinks, we have to go deeper...

Groundhog Day, Stripes. Those are great.
Scrooged, and Groundhog Day. The really strange thing is, I think he's a lousy actor.
I'm going with Groundhog Day and Scrooged as well. Those are two that we watch once a year.
The Man Who Knew Too Little.
I watched The Life Aquatic. In theaters when I was barely out of high school. I hated it! Went back a few years ago and now think it is one of my favorite Bill Murray movies. It has so many awesome parts.
Not his movie, but his small part in Zombieland was great.
Broken Flowers. It's a must see.
Ghostbusters or Stripes. What About Bob being very close behind those.

I never knew I wanted to see a Cohen Brothers version of Garfield until right now. That would probably be amazing.
not his greatest but his recent movie St. Vincent was pretty good.
St. Vincent was good. Not as classic as Stripes or Groundhog Day, but it was very good. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou was also very good.
Space Jam. "Larry's not white, Larry's clear."
