It's a good testing track, it has everything but a high speed corner entry. When going the other way, there's a long downhill sweeper that goes into the slowest corner on the track with a kink in the braking zone - that's a fun section, especially in a high power/weight car . It's also hard on cooling systems and brakes which is good for testing :) A fast lap has an average speed of just under 50 mph and a peak in the mid 70's, depending on the car.

Last time I was out in the Targa Miata, I was managing power oversteer all the way up the sweeper (starting at 0:17 in the ND Miata video) and laughing like an idiot.

There are regular time trial events on the track as well.

Here's an old video going the other way. The track's evolved a bit since this was shot in 2010, but you have to know it well to spot the differences.

A different view of the same direction. This is 100% gratuitous because of the noise, but it was legitimately something shot while we were at work. The lead car is one we built for a customer (it's been talked about in this forum occasionally, it has a Camero nose now), and I used my car as the camera platform as he met his car for the first time. Don't mind his initial lines, he'd never driven the track or the car before. Black car is on Hoosiers, camera car is on RA1s but the driver knows where the track goes :)

Hmm...

I love the mountains, and am ready for a retirement-ish downsizing...

I would love to but unfortunately I don't have much experience in customer service nor any professional mechanic experience. Do you need a designer/photographer?

Unfortunately, we hired Travis a few years back and he's really good at what he does :)

Would love it! Wish I hasn't messed up the address test back in 2015 when I applied, didn't realize key mistakes that were fixed were penalized even if you got the address correct, doesn't make sense to me, but c'est la vie.

Note that our previous HR person is no longer with us. She did a few things that didn't make sense IMO. Don't let that put you off applying again if you're interested.

Bobzilla, if you're seriously interested, you could always come out for a visit and see how she copes. There's quite a difference between living here and climbing/hiking above 10k. My wife struggled last time we climbed a 14k peak but can run and bike around here no problem.

I still think I have a bit of PTSD from those results.   crying

All works out in the end though.
