Or be injured?

Stores are closed and I want to finish a project (that is, a stage of a project)

I have many steel cutting discs and only 2 pavers to cut. If it's a high wear situation, I'll be fine.

Thanks :D

I would think ideally you would want a wet saw to keep the flying grit under control and keep the heat down. You might be able to score them and break them clean with an appropriately placed fulcrum and a solid tap with a mallet. I have no personal experience though.

Oh, ok. I'm sure you'll take better care of them than my other options.

Not here in sunny Thunder Bay.

You’ll be fine.  Wear a dust mask, you don’t want to breath that stuff.   Maybe some safety glasses if you feel like it.

Faceshield instead of goggles, so you'll still be pretty if the disk explodes.

After killing 3 pavers for science, I was able to do what I needed to do. The zip disk worked (sorry, FbC), however I expect the correct diamond coated blade would have worked faster.

Scoring with the grinder and hitting with a regular hammer = not so good.

Chiseling with my hammer drill  = not good either

Scoring with the grinder and slowly/gently running the demo hammer over the score did the job with no drama. Other than the aggregate stones, the line broke nicely and the new front walk is in.

PPE for the day was cut gloves, hearing protection and a properly adjusted scatter shield on the grinder. I really need a new face shield plexi. Mine is covered in over-spray from when I painted the bathroom.

Yes, you can use a zip disk on concrete pavers.

Cheap circular saw and a diamond blade is what I've used.

Full face shield, hearing protection, and a very good dust mask is what I use in terms of gear.

I use a diamond wheel in my grinder. It cuts like a hot knife through butter.

Ive used abrasive blades on a saw before, no one died.

Scoring and tapping with a hammer works great but you have to hit it right. Its easier to show that explain but basically you have to hit it harder than you think and only once

Mine works great.  Pavers, brick edging around the flower beds, and even widening the opening in a brick and block garage wall to put in a wider door.

For next time you're doing something sketchy like that:

1.  Don't.

2.  Faceshield AND goggles.

Make those fragments of flying disfigurement have to work to take our your eyes!
