Acronyms are starting to get a little... weird. I'm seriously starting to see some that I have no idea what they mean. And I'm a computer geek holding iphone programming dork. What is this MSTEK bullE36 M3 I keep seeing? Or IDF? Or FFS?

Sure it's not MST3K?
IDF = Israeli Defense Forces. Without context it's hard to know if that's what he's/she's talking about.
Can't help you with MSTEK. Teh Googles have failed me. This site helps me with all of the newfangled acronyms, but be warned it contains language that is NSFW (Not Safe For Work), or sometimes your sanity:

If I recall correctly.
I hate the car ones.
There was a what car thread the other day that was practically all acronyms.
Why can't you guys just call them what they are, and not by chassis number?

Exactly. Not all of us are up on what your G4FK3 is. Just call it what it is by year make and model, please.

It means If I Remember Correctly....IIRC. :-)

I guess I never told you that's how Mountain Girl and I met.
They had an I.B.S. weekend at Grossinger's up in the Catskills.
Of course, the tourist business there has suffered
with the demise of the Borscht Belt, so they have various promotions, mixers, so on.
This was a weekend for Irritable Bowel singles to meet and support each other
Man, look here, I don't want to hear a single one of them stories, OK?
Now, some of them are very moving.
Not one berkeleying story!
Look, I didn't choose to have I.B.S.
There's no cure, you know. Only control. Lifelong condition.
Yeah, you know what? Bein' an shiny happy person's a lifelong condition, too.
And this is only A from Ford. I hate Ford acronyms, although I did find one I haven't heard before- berkeleyer only rolls downhill. I like that.

Don't know the context... is it an acronym, or tXtsp3k?
