IDF is either Indirect Fire, or Israeli Defense Force. Both will ruin your day.
IDF = Israeli Defense Forces. Without context it's hard to know if that's what he's/she's talking about.
Can't help you with MSTEK. Teh Googles have failed me. This site helps me with all of the newfangled acronyms, but be warned it contains language that is NSFW (Not Safe For Work), or sometimes your sanity:
