And I just wikipedia'd him. Apparently,
In December 2009, Johnson revealed that he had been battling Hepatitis C for over a decade, which resulted in slow speech and a tendency to regularly get "lost in thought in the middle of a discussion".[24] Johnson said that he learned he had the disease in 1998 but does not know how he contracted it. The disease has damaged his liver and led to thyroid problems.[24] He was treated with a combination of ribavirin and interferon at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.[24] In February 2010, Johnson finished an experimental treatment for Hepatitis C, resulting in weight gain and increased energy.[25]
Which would explain part of that. But still... Wow....
Huh. I have seen the clip before and I did laugh. I didn't realize the Hepatitis thing, which is good to know I guess. But still makes you wonder- is that the best guy they have for the job? I mean- the island might capsize?
i'd love to see a poll of the general population asking if they think islands float like lily pads.

Uhh "does not know" how he contracted Hep C? What they mean is "he knows exactly how he contracted it, but any possible answer will get him un-elected".

Wrong!
BTW, he represents my Congressional district and I did not vote for him. His constituency has no concerns until he stops pandering to their ignorances.
Oh god i just looked him up and he is from my home state.
Fun fact an estimated 60% to 80% of intravenous recreational drug users (the primary means of passing Hep C) in the United States have been infected with HCV, the virus that causes Hep C.
But that particular district in Georgia is a lock for this guy more or less til he retires or dies.

Yea, most people with it don't know they have it, likely have had it for many years, without symptoms, and have no idea where it actually came from.
Yea, I know what you're thinking, but your thinking about transmission is way out of date.
Hmmmmm.... No jokes about Democrats, must refrain from anything Georgia.
What the heck, who knows it won't tip over?
If you consider the constituency that elected him you realize he fits right in. He is the representative for Dekalb county. He was preceded by Cynthia McKinney. The woman is bat E36 M3 crazy. If you want some great sound bites just start here.
