I met a nice couple yesterday while buying some wheels. The fellow has an old jack he'd like to give to someone, rather than the local scrap yard. It would be a neat addition to a man cave or old garage display. Contact me if you have any interest. It would be a pick up deal in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Oh, man, it's a Blackhawk. If you don't get any hits, put that sucker on the H.A.M.B. or Garage Journal. It'll find a home quick.
In reply to Appleseed :
Are they worth anything? Not that the owner wanted money for it. He'd just like to see it go someplace besides a smelter.
Too bad it's in Michigan...
Those jacks are super awesome!

They seem to go for $100-150 on the auction websites.
I would love to restore and or use that.
Not too far away in GR MI.
I'm busy but if you can hold it for a bit I would get it eventually.

PM me your contact info, real name and phone number. I can pass that on to Dave, the owner, and have him wait for you to contact him. I'll get his approval to send you his contact info. I'm sure he'll hold it if you want it.

If you PMed me, do it again. I didn't get anything.

If he passes, I'd be very interested - I have two antique floor jacks. The oldest hydraulic floor jack I've ever seen (received it non working; haven fixed yet) prolly from the early '50s. And a mechanical floor jack that is MUCH older... and is fully functional - never "restored "
I need to get back up to Detroit; just not sure when I can.

Just back from an extended 4th vacation. I have no business taking on any even small projects so I defer to 03 Panther.
03Panther, I may have another old jack for you if you are a collector.
I waited late to step up, as I am so far away. Love to see it go to any good home, me or otherwise!
More pack rat than collector! As my wife will attest to
If I hadn't married (single till 45), I'd have ended upon American Pickers. "Naw, ain't sellin' that... I might fix it. One day."
