I got rid of my big compressor a few years back after I found myself using electric tools way more often than air tools.  One tool I haven't backfilled yet is my die grinder.  Been kind of splitting things it would have done between my dremel, an old corded drill, and an angle grinder, so not the most ideal situation.
Anyone have the Milwaukee M12 or Ryobi One+ die grinders?  I'd rather not add another battery style to my stash, so those are the brands I'm seriously considering.  Also, any opinions on how useful the 90 degree vs straight die grinder is?

My brother in law got the M12 right angle die grinder. He likes it a lot, but I'm not sure how well it would hold up to constant use. He keeps the 2" roloc pads on it which is handy for cleaning up metal before welding, etc. I don't know that I'd want to port a whole set of heads with one.

I have both of the M12 die grinders.  I love using the right angle grinder with 2" roloc pads and use the straight die grinder for whenever I need to bust out a carbide burr.

I don't have experience with the Ryobi die grinder but all of the new power tools coming out from Ryobi are way better than they should be for the price.

I like the M12 ones, just based on their size, but have noted they recommend 2" discs as the largest, while with my air grinders, I could use 3" discs.  Tempted to go for the Ryobi or something else, just for that reason, but still not sure.  I think I'll let it slide until I hit a project where I will need to use it again.

Are you open to a corded grinder?  I find some tools are very good battery powered (drill, impact, flashlight) but for heavier cutting/grinding I much, MUCH prefer corded.

I do use corded 4.5" angle grinders, but was just thinking as a replacement for a small die grinder, cordless might be the way to go, to get a bit more maneuverability in tight spaces.
