A note about headphones i would recomend full stereo headphones over a Bluetooth phone headset. With stereo you can hear cars comming up on you and you dont need the blind spot lights. It is also just plain cool sounding in stereo.

Can I just use normal headphones instead of a headset? I don't think my TV has a headphone jack but I'll check the PS3

I didn't go overboard getting the best times anyway, I was primarily trying to get my online access. Besides, looking at the monkey boys times was a bit discouraging.

agreed on not trying too hard for licence tests, get all golds and you get a prize, get a faster time and get...nothing. I just ran through at first. Only after I realized there was competition did I go back and 'revise' my times

As suggested we were planning on an informal gathering at 6 pm central. I may not be home in time so I am going to open a room up and just leave it (open host).

Not sure how the new rooms work. I set this one to friends only. I know in the past you could piggyback into a room as a friend of a friend. Not sure you can do that anymore. I have a pretty good friend list for GRM peoples, so I figured I might be the best to host. It's name GRM Racing League but it's probably best just to search for Friends Rooms.

Anyway, I will leave it open. Use it, or not, I will try and be back by 6 central, but no guarantees.

I'm using it and doing some overpowered FF car testing, but most of them I've found aren't up to Mira-levels of ridiculous power. They are much more driveable, for sure, but not as crazy.

The online event with the M4 lap of the nurburgring I noticed all the really fast times had skid recovery force set on. so, curious, I turned it on and holy cheat-tastic driver's aid, it makes the car impossible to spin. Just take a corner and gun it. I dropped 3 seconds off my time and I now instantly don't respect anybody who races with that on. i hope they make it restricted for higher level events.

Sooooo,the room isn't full, but it says it is full. That's fun.

Did a quick run with some cars. Figured we would use them in their natural environment, so we dressed up as girls and drove them to the market.

As you can see, they clearly have traction issues.

Finally did a little driving after buying a metric ass-ton of cars.

The physics are much better. The Elise 111R on sport hard tires is even more fun than before. Tire noise is also much improved.

Very much looking forward to grabbing some more time this week.

Spool, Air and I were sliding around last night while all the time thinking "if only spool was here". By the way I really like the Spoon S2000.

Ohya Air, I did not see your note re staying together when we were doting that until after we were done. Sorry about that.

I tried putting CS tires in the rear and SH in the front. Makes the back end come out when ever you want (I could not control it). I still can not control the car enough to catch it when I am "drifting" (or in my case I like to call it controlled crashing) but it was fun non the less last night sliding around with Air.

The GTR's are also a lot of fun.

And then there are those open wheel things. What a hoot to drive!!! With the improved tire physics and the way they will "drift" in a corner made then a blast to toss in to the corners and then catch them as you power out.
