Sound is not better. The GT40 sounds pretty bad (of course it was pretty horrible in GT5). They are supposed to do an update for it. I know there are a lot of complaints about the sound online but in reality, cars don't always sound that good from inside. What they need to do is give an option to use the external sound for internal sounds.
Besides, the tire sounds are so loud now, many times you cannot even hear the engine!
I did try out a muscle car, z28, they are similar to GT5 (trail braking is your friend) and I did not notice any leaf spring straight axle goofiness (unfortunately). The Alpine A112 is a fun drive and can hold a pretty good slip angle, so I think the rear engined cars will be fine in GT6.
Having the release bonus cars is a huge help when going through the required series (to get a license you can get online). You pretty much do not have to spend any money on cars if you don't want to.
Oh, and if you want some good offroad, try the Streets of Willow. There are some serious woopties in parts of that track. Willow also has a large ditch running through the open area in the big loop (!).
Hey grizz is your room still open?
I bought the AAR cuda its pretty sweet but you need traction control (at least I do) as it has like 700hp when tuned for the muscle car races
At least tires are louder than the transmission, which was my main issue in GT5
I cant see it, whats your PSN name?

Just a heads up, I'm not sure if it was a glitch or intentional, but on Ascari, make sure you cross the finish line on track.
I was running the Tour of Yurp race there and took the last bit a little too fast and crossed in the grass. 3rd lap in first place and the race didn't end. It was now 3rd lap in 12th place.

Yes, burns the hell out of the tires til 4th, doesn't cool them down until about 215mph
E: Oh my god, the trans sounds like a jet engine
and I thought the 490HP integra type R in GT3 was bad...
I bet a fleet of them racing around that huge oval track would be pretty exciting. I wonder if it would get up to 300mph in a draft?

300 might be doable with nitrous.
does GT6 have a drag race thingy? like, can you line up and compete with others? Way too much power + nitrous + front drive would be quite a challenge

E: Just tested something. Guess what? It's usable. Wiggles around constantly and the tires are never anything but red up front, but I beat the Red Devil Camaro around Apricot Hill in the 650 PP Tuned Car race by 2+ seconds.
ok I had to get one, and it is just ridiculous. I want one in real life.

E:That was a mistake.
Although it wins the award for most versatile car in the game. 328pp to 644pp range.
Want some fun? put racing tires on the front only, leave the comfort mediums it came with on the back.
