Absolutely join us!!! We will be testing tonight. My PS ID is the same as my ID here Brad usually opens a room between 8:30 & 9:00 EST.
Since we are practicing sometimes other people host although I think it best that we don't mention last weeks host and his mad hosting Skilzzz.
@ Air,
I will see about setting things up and getting a frame rate. I am running it on a 55" plasma so I set it at 1920X1080. There is no reason to go any higher as the TV does not support it. The TV does have some built in smoothing so through some electronic trickery it is a little bit better than normal 1080. What I really like is the contrast and the brightness of the plasma for gaming. BTW this is the same TV I use for the PS4.
What card are you currently running Air?
It's an NVIDIA GTX 1050 ti. A good card from a few years ago, but likely a bit of a bottle neck for a 3 ghz 8 core i7 in some cases, especially for gaming (which I normally don't do on the PC, thus the card choice). I will probably consider one of the new age cards at some point (when they come out).

Just sent a friend request, from BradLTL
A 1050Ti was a decent card The Ti version had 6gb???? I think. I have a regular 1050 in an older PC in my office and it is a 3GB one and it is ok for regular CAD work and will even do some light 3d modeling.
It is funny as my assessments of a "good" computer is based on work station type machines with Quadro cards and threadripper chips. My current build is a Autodesk Specific build with an AMD 3950 with a Titan XP card. Autodesk products actually perform better on Titan Cards then on the lower Quadro cards. I have to get up to the REALLY expensive Quadro cards to get better performance than a Titan XP card. This is a weird quirk with Autodesk products. For other "work" related use types the Quadro cards are amazing. But the cost of them is also amazing. Same with the 3950 versus a Threadripper 3970. It is a $700 chip versus a $2000 chip with not much performance gain when working with Autodesk products.
I should try gaming on my workstation some time. I have a 45" 4K monitor on it with 99% color accuracy that is needed to do accurate color renderings for clients. It would be cool to see how my office work station system plays AC.
Some day I may take the big monitor home for the weekend and see how AC plays at 4k on my small home gaming rig. I think the 2060 super may have issues at 4k but AC is an older game at this point so who knows it may be ok. Zotac have since come out with a small form factor 2070 Super (Current is a Zotac 2060Super) that I could put in to that machine (with some trimming) but it is something like $500 or more so I don't think it is really worth it.
The card that really interests me that I my get as my wife needs a new card for video rendering is the 2060 KO ultra. It uses a 2080TI chip set that ahs been limited some way BUT it still has the processing power that the 2080TI has for in GPU rendering/computing. So I am wondering if you are using it for its computing power and not its graphic output it may be a steel at around $330 as compared to a 2080Ti at way over $1000. For a office productivity card it may be a fantastic deal!!! And it would also be a very decent gaming card if a 2060 is the performance level that is wanted.
I am going to accept volunteer hosts for tonight. Shorter practice/qualifying/race sessions are harder for me to do with putting kids to bed.
I think the front runner is the 333SP for the next series. I was going to try it at Silverstone just to see how it did at another fairly well known track.
The other test subject was vintage prototypes.
We have a new victim, so we may need to keep that in consideration for the next series.
Gues that means we should be on our best behavior? Lol.
I can host but I will be on closer to 9:00. The new snow runner update just landed and it added wheel support to the Ps4 version. My son has been waiting for this for a while. So if air or Tj or anyone else gets on sooner they can host.
The 908 vintage B car we tested at the end tonight should be tested again. I think it is very promising.

Ooh. I like the 908. Drives like an old car, but not crazy like the later high Hp Porsches.
Yep. A pack of these flying in to turn one would be fun. There was a lotus in that class that I want to try also and see how they compare.
The Vintage A. cars were fun in there own way. They really need a bigger track with some room. Last nights track was perfect for them. Once I got to understand how they wanted to be driven they really were fun. And the sounds were really good.
Next week we should circle back to some easier cars to let Speedy see the potential of the game. Maybe a little GTE practice and or some GT3.

I did a few laps at Silverstone with the 333SP and Sauce's tune. So much better than what I was using. I should've switched to it last night instead of struggling with whatever mess I was running.
Yeah, these cars are not the easiest intro cars, so good point on maybe spending some time with something more forgiving to give Speedy a little time to get used to the game.
I tried the 911 gt3 car this morning before work, definitely more controllable. It'll just take a while to get used to the gameplay. The game clearly has a lot of depth to it, and is very enjoyable.
Oh and I need to look at the replay Sauce. I still say that I was knocked off line.
Ya I really lost that in the sweeper and then over drove the left hander in to the last section of corners. That was a fun battle!!!
The 908 was lots of fun!!

Dean, the defense rests
Yep you hit me in the RF that bump pushed me out to the curbs and I could not get the power down. I had lost the race anyway even if I had got the power down. MAYBE I would ahve gone for the over under on the next turn but I am just going to blame the bump and run.
You know the irony of this is you are in an orange/red-ish car and I am in a non orange car.
You trying to claim my title of the Tangerine Torpedo?
It's not the driver, it's the car?
