World of Tanks

The window lickers have managed to drop my win % almost a full point in the last 24 hours. (I had it almost back up to 50%) The only thing that makes playing worthwhile these days is watching them panic when you go flying through the middle with the Pz1C and/or when you roll up on them in the KV-2. Everything else is pretty much an exercise in frustration. The total lack of teamwork makes me crazy. Scouts rush out and die, everyone else hangs at the back of the map and gets picked off one after the other.

Oh, and, whatever you said I either agree wholeheartedly (but will repeat anyways) or totally disagree. Up until yesterday, I'd say we can't get passed by a Corvette, but it seems they did pretty well in some race yesterday/this morning.

I played a bit this morning and actually did quite well. My win rate is now back up to 50.06%. I mostly ran my tier 1 and 2 tanks but had 3 or 4 battles with my Sherman.

I'm still plopping the derp back on once in a while and this time around I viciously one-shotted an M3 Lee. I felt kind of bad because it takes a while to adapt to that...tank. So here's this guy, trying to grind through the Lee and he pops over a hill only to get 105mm of H.E.A.T. in the face at close range.

But then his buddies; two heavies, a medium and one very zippy light, made quick work of me so he was avenged in short order.

On a side note, the other day after I died it didn't show which enemy combatant had killed me. Of course this somehow led to me spewing a slightly modified and edited version of the bootcamp monologue from "Full Metal Jacket".

"Who shot me?! Who the berkeley shot me?! Who's the slimy E36 M3, twinkle toes, communist ____ sucker who signed my death warrant?! Nobody, huh? The fairy berkeleying godmother shot me... OUTberkeleyINGSTANDING!"

Nobody got it... then someone called me a redneck.

So...noob question:

How do you check your WN8 for a particular tank?

Last I checked I was between 55-60% win rate overall. Hilarious win rate with soviet heavies and the Fury have raised that a lot. Mortality rate is still up around 70% though. I like going places I probably shouldn't, and end up doing heroic last stands slowing down flanking enemies.

I've been searching but all I find are posts filled with slang and jargon that makes no sense to me whatsoever, never directly referencing how to check WN8.

I actually prefer the official WOT forum to wotlabs, less of the "Hey, we're awesome and you suck!". I still can't figure out how their stats magically appear in their profile so they can be inserted in their signature. I followed the steps and...no stats to be seen in my profile.

goto wotlabs.net up top right there is a box put your player name in it and click the "player" button it'll spit out your wn8 stats...

note that wotlabs is who came up with the stat numbers for wn8... it is primarily a dmg based statistic

for their forums... I'm mostly a lurker with occasional posts when I feel I can add something, but it is where the best players tend to hang out so it's worth at least reading when digging for more information... there is a bit of elitism going on over there but I think that is largely just out of frustration... and you'll see it on the official forum as well... and many times constructive criticism given to below average players is taken as smack talking/elitism.

I spend the majority of my forum time on the official forum, most of my posts are in the noob forum, originally learning and now lots of times trying to help.

That tank has a mustache...and quite the under-bite.

Took out my KV85 last night for about 6 battles.......is it just me or did a whole bunch of grabastic wallet warriors join in the last few months. Man.....heavies are scouting, lights are getting into face to face standoffs with heavies....just havoc and chaos. Oh, and if you do offer any advice like do not go over that hill/around that corner by yourself, they all respond with "f%^k off newb pu$$y" and go and die in seconds.....sigh...its painful....

Well yeah, but the chatbox really looks like a bunch of 12 year olds swearing at each other....its pathetic....I have to get that team speak thing. Trying to rage and/or get people to help you is hard with the keyboard.

team speak is really only usefull if you've got friends who also play and specifically are playing with you... our clan uses mumble... there are a bunch of other low latency voice chat programs also... team speak is just the most popular

and ya... summer is here... lots of kids playing... no different than any other system... (I always loved to hear the language from the COD kids when school let out)

I couldn't believe when I was top tier with another KV85 and he wanted to hang back and "defend artie"....WTFAHVERNUGEN?!?!?!? Yeah...game is really giving me doubts as to whether I should go to higher tiers as the quality of players is really, really falling off.

honestly higher I go the more consistent the teams get... doesn't mean there aren't glass lickers up top that died their way though... but they are fewer as you get higher.

On Xbox I usually encounter people like myself in the middle tiers......you get 3 e8/fury tanks in a pack in a tier 6 lobby and you're next to unstoppable.

I'm on the last few of a group of missions for the Sherman and the one I've been trying to complete requires me to shoot and light an enemy tank on fire. I started looking at the weaknesses of tanks to find the fuel tanks and engine. This gave rise to the perverted urge to ammo rack a KV-1. They have slaughtered me enough times that a one-shot ammo rack would be oh so sweet revenge.

Finally the open beta is open for the Xbox One. I might have to fire the 360 back up for the next couple of weeks 'til the full game drops on the One.

I can't keep a win. I am usually the first out or the last 3. I keep getting these teams that won't talk, just seem to run around and get pounded and don't want to win just rack up hits on target.

What is even more frustrating is it seems that I keep coming against squads that are 2 and 3 man teams with 2 and 3 of them on the opposite side. You got have 3 teams of 3 tanks that are talking you are going to get your ass handed to you quick with a bunch of idiots that dont talk.

When I play with my buddies, battles go much better because of a thing called strategy....otherwise a lot of suiscouts that get really annoyed that my artillery didn't fire on the tanks they spotted even though my artie wasn't loaded yet....
