We're taking one in trade (H-D store)--has <1200 miles on it and I can pick it up cheap. I'm sure it'll need tires, but I ran it around the lot a little this afternoon. I like sport/touring bikes, and I doubt I can find a Buell (the logical choice for me) this nice for less. I can't see myself getting an Asian bike, but I think I can justify this. I really just want a commuter (25-30 miles each way). So...anything to know about these bikes? Most of what I know is positive.

I love the sound of the 955 triples - nice balance of torque... They cheaped out on the fuel line fittings at the tank - plastic fittings - they will break if they have not already been replaced. Makes life interesting with a fuel leak on the back tire (I was in the rain as an added bonus when mine went on the daytona). There are brass/chrome upgrade kits (about $80) or a hydraulic/hose shop will have brass fittings for about $30. You may want to check if it's got a current tune on it.
If I can be so rude, what is cheap?
NICE! DO IT.
I looked at one but ended up with the Ducati as it was cleaner than the two Triumph's i'd found in the same price range.
I've owned a late 90s Sprint ST in the UK - definitely heed oldtin's advice and replace the quick disconnects for the fuel system with upgraded parts. Another thing to watch for IME is oil consumption - my ST would use something like 1/2 quart every 600-700 miles. It also had various other fuel leaks other than the quick disconnects. In typical Brit bike fashion it was a good bike when it was running...
Ditto, what is "cheap"?
I'd pimp it cuz that thing is dead sexy.
