This was the "before"
I just bought this about a hour ago. The ugliest Guzzi ever.
Plan a lot of paint, Polish and of course a new tank and seat unit ASAP! Lots of cafe potential hiding under that horrible bodywork and paint.
Lots of nice bikes in this thread!
I've lost track of how many I've had over the years, but here's a few standouts...
'00 ZX-12 - first bike I rode into the 9s...
'02 VStrom 1k - first bike I rode coast to coast...
'05 GSX-R1k... holy mother of god!... nicknamed the Millennium Falcon
Current ride (and probably the best all-rounder I've owned), '15 FJ-09...
In reply to Rodan:
I have interest in the fj09 as a possible next ride. I also like the triumph tiger but I bet the fj09 is lighter and more reliable in the long road.
I looked at Tigers, both 800 and 1200. 1200s have had engine problems, and I didn't think the 800 would have the power/weight I was looking for. The FJ9 is fantastic... a total hooligan bike in touring clothes.
Here are a few pics of my current bikes.
1966 Ducati Monza Jr
1991 Ducati 907ie at Mid-Ohio in 2005
1991 Ducati 851 Strada
2000 Ducati 996
2016 Ducati 1200S Monster
That doesn't include the two project bikes. Guess what brand they are.
Man, you got a lot of Ducs!
Side note, I ended up with an 04 Triumph Tiger 955i. Love it! Such a good bike.
Traded an old pickup truck and a DRZ for this Tuono:
Now comes the fun of alternating between this and the Buell and deciding which to sell.
In reply to DesmoDog:
Nice bikes. My dad had a Ducati single when I was kid, and seeing yours reminded me of that bike. The 851 is gorgeous, one of my favorite Ducatis!
And to keep the thread rolling, here's my Suzuki Goose:
I ride every day, Hate traffic in a car!
My current bike is a 99 Bandit 1200. This is my second one. The last one I sold to a fellow Messenger with 380K miles. This one is just broke in with 160+K miles.<img src="#//s51.photobucket.com/user/BanditMan1200/media/99Bandit/CAM01350_zps2d0ee392.jpg.html][/URL]" />

How many miles and what type of traffic? I'm curious because I also hate traffic in a car, and I get a good bit with my commute.

Right now my commute is 70 miles each way in Los Angeles, My mornings are not too bad at 4 am unless there is construction or an accident, My ride home is at 5-6 in the evening. In the car it would be up to 3 hours, on the bike its about an hour and a half.
My bike gets about 40 miles to the gallon, and right now my truck gets 30, soon be be less than that when its finished.

Gotcha. Right now I'm 60 miles each way from Waynesboro, PA to Gaithersburg, MD (very north DC) I'm just not sure I could do a bike in all the traffic. And then there's some days when I really wish I was on a bike so I could zip on through.

You're deluded if you think that's the ugliest Guzzi ever. It's not even CLOSE to as ugly as this one...
In reply to stroker:
That might be the biggest POS I have ever seen. They hard mounted the rear suspension! They didn't make it a hard tail (still a bad idea) but replaced the shocks with tubing. WTF?!
Here is my current bike, 2003 GSX750F Katana

I've had a few over the years, but no picts of them. One of my favorites was the 75 Suzuki GT380. Had a few dirt bikes as well.

that is bad.
My bike is getting better -
In reply to Rusnak_322:
That is indeed looking much better!! Amazing what a difference the tank and seat makes
No pics of my old bikes, but I pick up my new toy this Friday and then promptly am taking a week off of work.
