So my house has dark blue plastic shutters. They're about 10 years old now and have gotten faded and chalky. I was going to try and find a close to original color and paint them. I had an idea, though. I had some Turtle Wax trim restore stuff. It worked awesome! Now they're back to almost their original color. You can't tell that they were ever faded. I have no idea how long it will last, but since I plan on selling the house in the next year or so, I will just re-apply when I put it on the market. It took me all of 30 minutes to do the 4 shutters on the front of my house. So there is your GRM DIY household tip for the day.

Nice! My current house has gray plastic shutters and I'll be selling soon .. you see where that's headed. Thanks for the tip.
