Ohhh I forgot about this!!! Thanks for bringing this back up.
What do you get when you cross a Le Mans Prototype race car and a Subaru 360? You get forum user nocones’s $2000 Challenge entry, better known as the LMP360.
When we introduced you to this project back in April, nocones was mocking up some of the body panels and figuring out some suspension mounts, but fast forward to today and the LMP360 has its Subaru Outback-sourced powerplant in place and looks ready to dominate the $2000 Challenge.
Get the full story at the build thread over on the Builds and Project Cars forum, and also check out nocones’s YouTube channel for more build progress as well:

I love seeing builds featured and am always surprised when it is my own.
Like Ricky Bobby I never know what to do with my hands when it happens.
I'm still very much hoping the car is done enough for the trip to FL in LESS THEN 2 MONTHS.
Thanks for the shoutout!

BDT! BDT! BDT!
Am I the only one that thinks it would be cool to mount the fenders out board of the knuckle so they move with steering? I know a LMP car is not this way but I think it would be so cool.
Edit: Side benefit is you now have "active" headlights that will point where you steer.
Edit#2: This would also alow for much tighter fender to wheel clearances allowing the wheels to be tucked in tight giving an even more aggressive look while stationary while allowing for much more suspension travel.
