Why did we compete in the 2023 One Lap of America Presented by Grassroots Motorsports in our 2017 VW GTI?
The short version of the story is that our previous ride for One Lap, a McLaren 720S, was in the shop. So, the GTI was our next best option.
The long version? You’ll have to wait and read it in an upcoming issue of Grassroots Motorsports.
We will tell you, though, that the GTI did more than simply survive One Lap–it secured a third-place finish in its class.
Whoever put those stickers on did a kick-ass job ...

Did anyone think to do a before-and-after dyno pull to see how much the stickers may have helped (wheel hp, please.)
