Then I finished removing the subframe.

Cleaned up the subframe and wire cupped the areas I planned to weld at. The sway bar mounts were bent pretty badly. It had stretched the metal enough that I had to cut some out of the original brackets to keep it from folding when I bent them back. Also made a template for the reinforcement plates and cut out 2 plates with the poor man's plasma cutter (death wheel). And 2 triangles to finish it off.

Practically Pebble Beach restoration! Was the sawzall blade still under the car?

Thanks, lol however my welding could always use improvement. No sawzall blade but the subframe spacers were all still in place to keep the pinion flange from hitting on launch.

Got the subframe back under the rear of the car Tuesday.Wednesday and Yesterday was spent cleaning out and repainting the garage with my wife. Today the nearest junkyard had 30 percent off for Good Friday/ Easter. I scored this stuff, not sure how much of it will be on this year's versions of the car.

I told the cashier that I had a good handful of fasteners. He replied that sinceI bought the parts they held on he didn't care. Friday was also a good day as we got another dog! She is 5 months old, a German shepherd/ mastiff mix. Our 13 year old female shepherd passed away last July. It was time.

Got started on the front camber plates today. My youngest son cut them out on his CNC plasma table for me. Made them from 1/4 steel plate tacked them together for the drilling and taping process.

Bought a cheap set of LS swap mounts on flea bay for about $25. I have started modifying them to work with the motor set back 2 to 2.5 inches compared to the previous location. This is to allow the drive shaft that came with the car to work with the shorter 4L60E. Besides further rearward is better!

Here is the old motor mount setup. Perfectly fine for Challenge purposes, however I hope this car will also serve as a track day toy so I am going with urethane mounts.

A friend of mine gave me this engine leveler, first time I have used one. This thing is wonderful!
