As soon as this is done I'm retired from garage building. 2 in 2 years is enough to make me stop.

my albatross has been lifted. Little bit more soffit and some coil and door seals and i can call for final.
think i'm going to put a switched outlet in the soffit at the peak so i can put a star up there for Christmas

When we build our retirement home we're putting switched outlets in various places around the soffit for Christmas lights. It's one of the things my wife has insisted on.
That's some forward thinking right there.
We have the outlets for outdoor lights controlled by Alexa. I am not thrilled at all by having Big-Brother-but-without-accountability eavesdropping in the house, but shouting in the dining room to turn the ornaments on or off appeals to some people I guess.

We did it in the house we are building now, it's a pretty good idea.
Siding is DONE
coil garage doors and nail up their seals is next but we're in thunderstorms that started one minute after i finished the siding
Congratulations Pat. The garage looks great. While you’re not building them anymore would you be willing to give me some input/consult when I am ready to pull the trigger on my remote garage? BTW I’m the guy who got the plaid seats from the Detroit area for the Wartburg.
We installed outlets in the soffit when we redid the exterior of our place recently. Well worth the investment.
Totally Wawazat
since final is done now the functional stuff begins
Have to order some 24' 2x12 to laminate a beam to carry the front of the loft. Much storage for large light items like body panels that are otherwise always in the way.
Abby running the skidsteer. Today we moved a months worth of stuff in a few hours. Logs, dirt, gravel, car parts, wood chips.

Properly tensioned spring works for me. Have an opener on the front door that will get the most in and it use
built some new gardens. Went from 108 square feet of garden beds to 460. The 108 is all going to be green beans now. My cousin is coming over tomorrow to do some dirt moving in exchange for money. The big pile in the middle needs spread out so i can use the skidsteer to dump topsoil on.
then we made a twin engine wrx
This is fantastic. I'm not sure How I missed this.
I like your loft space. Do all the walls now before you start using it. I'm on year 7ish of not finishing my interior. It's extra annoying because it's not done, it means anything i do on the walls has to come off eventually, and a substantial amount of garage space is taken up with the supplies i bought to insulate and sheet the interior.
Menards is delivering the balance of my lumber including a pair of 24' long 2x12's to sister together to carry the front of the loft, the driver just called. Excited to finish the shelves and loft
have already had 3 cars on the lift.
yesterday ordered a 150' rapidair maxline 3/4" shop air plumbing kit. Between that and some manifolds i have been sitting on and a couple retractable hose reels i got last year i should always be close to air or power.
A recently decided upon business investment is dictating where the welding table goes, so now i can run my 220v circuit for the tig. this is also dictating where my metal stock shelves are going and in turn i think i know where the lathe and work bench will go. Once i get the shelving and loft business done final layout will happen.
once some more $ comes in i am going to get a powered gable vent for the back wall at the peak to suck out the hot air from under the roof.
i have no plans to finish the walls, I've never had finished garage walls and the bays between the posts are very valuable spaces to keep things out of the way
