Who/What do you use as your source for HID projectors, etc?
I've built some before, but it always adds up to a couple hundred said and done.

For this car, cheap mini h1 projector from Amazon, and xentec 55w h1 hid kit. All in for 60. Need to build a relay/shield activation harness, but thats easily done.
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael (Forum Supporter) :
Let me know how it goes. My NB2 could use the same treatment.
The nb2 i had received 55w hid in the low beams. However, a mirimoto projector would be a significant improvement.
Unless you have aftermarket headlights. Then a zippo would be an improvement.
Nothing important to add... just my eternally repeated let-down every time I open this thread and don't see a minivan.
but then I'm happy because it's a cool car

I've got a little something heading your way. Sorry I'm so late getting it out to you.
In reply to Indy "Nub" Guy :
Thanks! Except i have no idea what you're talking about.....
Do i owe you any money or anything?
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael (Forum Supporter) :
You owe me nothing. Full stop.
When you receive it, you'll understand.
grabbed the refinisrefinished wheels and 200tw tires from the tire shop this morning. I like them!!!
This is the ducktail i picked up. That i dropped before taking this picture, breaking the lexan off one end.
Still a solid buy for $20!
Anyone have a write up on how these are installed?
The great thing about rustoleum: easy to touch up and match!
Also. Nutserts are awesome.
More holes after work.
Dusterbd13-michael (Forum Supporter) said:i like it. I know its an airflow killer, but its a drastic visual improvement.
So, one thing I've learned in the past year... if you ever get around to it... is that any louvers you might end up putting in those holes should be "perpendicular" to the centerline axis of the car (I.e. parallel with the axle)... and not angled to follow the "sweep" of the holes, like one of the popular kits does:
The perpendicular to the car was the plan for the louvers when i started this hood. Then my cnc buddy got involved, and.....
We now have mesh. Someday we will get louvers, but i quit waiting. At least this will dress it off and keep some large debris out.

Maybe? Month or so ago i walloped a deer carcass that i didn't see in the dark at 60mph....
In reply to Dusterbd13-michael (Forum Supporter) :
I've hit better things I couldn't see in the dark.
In reply to Stampie (FS) :
Same. Definitely wasn't cool....
But it'll be better when I put it back together.
