Geez imagine being the left lane car. This green machine gives you a 2 second head start, and by the 1/8th mile you're going a respectable 84mph and you just got your doors blown off by someone going 50mph faster.

Look at the 60' time. They were passed not long after the 330' lights

yep I mistakenly added the nelsons 60' in too. 330' about half a second quicker than the car that left 1.9 seconds sooner. I suspect the other car spun bad with a 3 second 60'
i did that to gumby at the challenge, it's kinda fun and reaction time is meaningless when you're just going for ET. I usually wait a couple seconds versus red lighting.
AngryCorvair (Forum Supporter) said:Andrew, congrats to PACC Racing! Is that combo still under $2000?
No. While sorting out why the teans did not work correctly the ECU was swapped to a more expensive one. If the original was returned it would be well under $2000, that is not the plan immediately. As we move forward in developing the car it will be switched back to under $2K form.
On another note the car we built in 3 weeks before the challenge with a 6 cylinder ran 9.98 yesterday. It broke when we were loading it up to head south.

To give you another prospective...the Fairmont went 9.98 at 134+...15 mph slower but it was at the 1/8 mile marker 0.3-.4 seconds earlier.

$135 replacement from the "You- Pull-It".

We are thinking of doing something for fun for 2021....thinking for building a car for mph in the quarter. We have gone 141+ in 2017. Thoughts???

Or just plain stupid. First ever attempt with FWD. What a PITA. SBE and junkyard trans..which is our style.. but the lack of 60' thrust suuuuuuucks!!!
This is our 2020 build Fairmont. Added just for fun conversation and a comparison between FWD and RWD.

I want to see 150 and parachute deployment for $2000
we're aiming to do very well overall with a high finish in all 3 areas
This car is incredible! In the 9s for not much over the challenge budget. Lotta guys spending big bucks to get a lot less impressive time slip.

14.4@119 sounds like hella spin. That's 2 tenths and 22mph faster than my car and I spun through first(shakes fist at Michelin Pilot Sport 2s)

Tall order. Wheels are turning. I am thinking boost...lots of boost.

A lot a people would be happy with a 120mph 1/4 mile speed in a rwd muscle car.
You guys pushed yourself, or um pulled yourselves to do something different. Congrats on the results. Can't wait to copy your turbo atlas recipe for myself down the road.

I think i have one or two top 5 aiming finishes left in me before i start just coming to play towards personal goals. I ran 122.6 in 2016 with a 428k mile untouched 5.3 through iron manifolds with a little spray
i have the big boy frankenstein 6.0 almost ready to assemble, just need a crank without a counterweight missing and a pair of valves and springs for the L92 heads. Not for 2021 though.

That car you ran in 2016 was awesome. i watched live before i ever attended. was one of my favorite cars as its one ive always wanted. My rx7 will be back next year and that car has a 10 in it, plus it handles. so the other car i bring will be solely to race the nelsons lol
