Ok so it works mostly like I thought it did. May look into that for the Saturn. I had a Panavise solid mount in the Mustang that literally stuck through a gap around the center dash trim and shared bolts with the HVAC controls. I liked it a lot but nothing like that exists for my 2nd gen SL unless I make it, which I've thought about doing if I'm honest.

It's a fantastic mount, I've actually changed the angle to a new spot and i'm very happy with the console mount.
So some people have probably figured out, I drive A LOT. Especially for the fact that I work at a desk 40 hours a week and only have a 25 mile roundtrip commute now.
Since I bought my focus in December 2017 I've gotten serious about tracking my miles driven because it makes budgeting that much easier and more accurate.
Here's a snapshot of my spreadsheet for Hazmat
Spent 15 minutes tonight swapping out the front endlinks for new ones and now hazmat is ready for lapping at mineral wells this weekend. And i also helped my buddy pull the fuel pump on his SVT focus.
He's working to get the car back on the road and had his valve cover hydrodipped and it's pretty awesome.

I'd do that, but I don't think sleepywife would find it all that funny
It would be funnier if they were on fire.

Idk.. But we'll find out soon!
Today is a good day!
Christmas came early with a delivery from my buddy stationed overseas!
He bought these to use on his civic which he put into the side of a California canyon before he could install them. Finally got them out of a box a few weeks ago and got them shipped to me!
SCORE!

I believe you have reached the tipping point.
Yeah.... The day is approaching quickly..

Looking forward to the wide body crazy aero supercharged Si with a perfectly functioning stock radio.
In reply to Daylan C :
Custom tubeframe chassis with carbon-fiber everything, RWD drivetrain powered by a surplus F1 engine, and the stock radio.

Realtalk.
Here's the goals for the project and my timetable
Phase 1 (Next 6-9 months)
235-255 tires (because i have wheels capable of handling these right now)
Camber
Roll bar
At least 1 seat with harness.
Phase 2 (next 12-18 months)
215-225 whp.
Real dampers (redshift or better) combined with OLOA acceptable spring rates.
2600-2700lbs.
275 Tires and adding accusump, since after talking wtih klodcrawler all week, it seems like the best solution to the oiling issues faced by the K series.
And yea.. my stock radio berkeleying rules, i just need to fix the 2 blown speakers..

Can't get the video to embed but I still wanted to post it. So I'll post it here..
Apparently the stock K20Z3 will make 500hp... ONCE.

you tossing a baffle in there too? i think TracTuff makes a weld-in pan baffle that fits a stock Z3 motor with the balance shafts. Clockwise Motion has a drop in that might fit the stock pump too. All the rest require a move to a non-balance shaft Type-S pump.
that's a slippery slope though...if you're taking the pan off to add a baffle, might as well throw in the new pump to grab another 5-10hp from losing the parasitic loss of those balance shaft weights....

nope, planning to not mess with the stock pan. that's the point of the accusump to act as a surge tank and maintain the pressure when it drops.
There's been a growing clunk from the front, happens always a slow speed. And turning brings it out. The 8th gen Track and Autox group recommended starting with replacing steering rack bushings and going from there. May end up being play in the rack itself. But I'll find out soon enough.
Involves dropping the whole subframe.. Supposedly takes an hour.. We gonna find out...

Such an innocent looking bag of parts. Here's hoping the install goes well for you!
czerka said:What are your thoughts on swapping in 1st gen TSX front brakes and rotors?
I've looked at it, but there's not a lot of benefits. Sure it's a thicker rotor, but the design has the same drawbacks as the stock brakes being a single piston slider.
if I was going to swap, or recommend a swap. I'd go for the TL Brembo swap. If fastbrakes made a kit i could run willwood ultralites and get good brake cooling I'd also be open to that.
I've priced out the TL swap as a possible option for me in the future.
