I am selling my 535i that has been built for HPDE events and weekend enjoyment. Vehicle is wrapped in 3M Dragon Red vinyl. Let me start by saying that this vehicle looks amazing from ~5 ft. away but its no trailer queen. It was originally blue in color but after a deer strike the front end was put back together and the questionable stock paint was wrapped in vinyl by the previous owner. Looks phenomenal, but it has its small imperfections. A/C, heat, and all power functions work(rear windows are a little slow however) Below is a list of modifications, but I may be forgetting a thing or two:
-B35 swap with Getrag 260 trans-Swap done at Auto-Technika in Charlottesville, commissioned by previous owner
-E.A.T. Ultrachips Chipped ECU
-BBS Style 5 wheels with Federal 595 RS-R tires- Tires have about 75% tread left but the fronts have a little more wear on the outsides than the rears.
-Z3 shifter
-3.73 LSD diff.(M3?)
-Sanden AC Compressor convert
-Front and rear adjustable sway bars
-Polyurethane sway bar bushings
-Polyurethane rear diff. mount
-Reinforced front sway bar mounts
-Rear adjustable weld in eccentric camber kit
-Clutch Masters upgraded clutch kit
-Clutch pedal reinforcement bracket
-Moosehead spherical lower control arms
-Magnacor wires
-Iridium plugs(NGK if I remember correctly)
-Mustang injectors
-E34 540i/E32 750i Front and rear brake conversion
-Full set of stainless brake lines
-SuperBlue brake fluid
-Duralast GT front and rear pads (one event on these, needed replacements in a pinch and these actually perform amazingly!)
-Racing dynamics Front strut tower bar
-K sport coilovers with 700lb front/600lb rear springs- Installed about a year ago and have about 2,500 miles on them.
-Generic Carbon Dynamic intake box and snorkel
-"Custom" built high flowing exhaust comprised of stock B35 manifolds running to a 16" long tube muffler and exiting in front of the right rear wheel
-TRE Performance 255lph fuel pump
-Brand new fuel filter and hoses from hardlines to tank
-Brand new power steering hoses
-Just about every other hose including windshield washer hoses have been replaced as well
-Longacre kill switch mounted in engine bay with cable running out of the front grill
-Alpina rep front spoiler
-MOMO steering wheel and shift knob
-Summit Racing sport seats adapted to manual comfort brackets with tilting bases
-Brand new battery relocated behind passenger seat
-Almost complete trunk tool kit (never bothered removing it)
-Comes with both an e28 and E34 Bentley manual
I'm sure there is more but if I think of anything else I will update the listing. I also have a brand new high pressure power steering hose if the next owner wants to convert this vehicle over to vacuum assisted brakes. All that would be needed is the vacuum booster itself. This vehicle has been a blast and I really did the best I could to squeak out as much power as possible without going forced induction but its inevitable and I've outdriven this vehicle for long enough. I cannot justify putting the amount of money needed to install a turbo setup into this vehicle with the difficulty in classing it in wheel to wheel racing. It would make a great vehicle for someone interested in a fun vehicle that turns a lot of heads, or someone who is interested in getting involved in motorsports since this vehicle is right at home at HPDE events.
The negative: Besides the small imperfections in the wrap, the vehicle was attacked by a ground hog(seriously) and some of the vinyl is torn on the hood. There are also a number of rock chips on the alpina front spoiler. Then there's the mileage issue... the odometer reads 277,849 and is not operable. I have reason to believe that the mileage is not correct for this vehicle as it handled much too tight for a vehicle with that many miles when I got it. As you can imagine it handles amazingly now. The engine came from a vehicle with roughly 130,000 miles according to the Carfax report for the VIN number on the engine. This vehicle needs to be seen to be appreciated. I want it to go to someone who can actually appreciate it. I don't HAVE to sell it but I have no need for it as I'm building a more class-able track car and have a Grand Wagoneer that will gladly take the rest of my expendable income.
I would like to get $5,500 for it but would be open to offers with reasonable criticism. See photos below.
