Selling my 2000 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro. $1,500 / best reasonable offer
5-spd manual, 111K miles, 2nd owner (have all records from new)
Drive as-is for now, use it as a winter beater (can't beat Quattro in the snow), or build the frankenturbo vehicular menace of your dreams!
The good:
- Runs well, lots of $$$ in maintenance spent over its lifetime
- AC blows cold
- Heated seats (winter is coming!)
- New brakes - pads (Hawk HPS), rotors, calipers and SS lines
- New AGM battery
- New air and cabin filters
- All dash pixels work (PO replaced the cluster)
- Bose sound system (CD AND cassette!)
- Full-size spare tire
- Weathertech trunk liner
- Heavy-duty car cover
The bad:
- Probably time for a timing belt service
- Original clutch (doesn't slip, but the pickup point is a little high)
- Needs some odds and ends - nothing immediately terminal, but stuff to add to a project list
- Axle seals, valve cover gasket, motor/transmission mounts
- Driver seat bottom ripped (but the seat heater still works)
- Tires are serviceable, but I'd replace them if I was keeping it (and probably move up a size, has stock 15" wheels)
- Headlight washers disabled (all other accessories work)
The ugly:
- Been a New England car all its life, and lived outdoors for most of the time (and all that that entails when trying to loosen bolts)
Will include an Audi A4 Bentley Service Manual, with grease stains in all the right places
For GRMers, I'll also throw in a pair of Audi B5 S4 front seats - the motors don't work, but I was planning to do an upholstery swap to build the manual sport seats the factory didn't. Or you can turn them into office/gaming chairs...
Hood was unlatched in the photo - it does sit properly
