I went autocrossing Sunday with our local Martin Sports Car Club.
Highlights:
Seeing some old friends.
Driving okay.
Getting called JG.
(And hopefully action photos will be shared at some point.)

I went riding with some friends albeit a brief ride........it was 102 by noon. The fancy Italian bike in the background is mine.
We did a virtual version of our Summer Camp! A lot less noisy than the in-person type, but we were able to reach a lot more people and it can be revisited by anyone. Meant I spent the day in the shop, which is the first time I've spent a complete day up there since last March.
For part of it, we shot this video where I pretended to be a Top Gear presenter. Not sure anyone's job is at risk.
But nobody called me JG, so I've got that going for me.

Guilty.
I'd use the mask excuse, except he wasn't wearing one (outdoors, low risk, first time I've course walked without one in a year). Definitely a fun day. Great seeing you.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
It's the price you pay for working in the reflected glow of celebrity.
Weekend off, so landscaping at the new to us house. And occasionally hearing the participants at the NCM Time Trial event. Would rather have been there watching.
In reply to JBruin :
Funny as when I go off over a weekend, I call it landscaping. You probably heard Wallens running there as the project Corvette was running with it's LS3 swap complete.
My garbage disposal blew up on Friday. I decided it was time to just replace it all: sink, faucet, and disposal. I found what seemed like a good deal on a sink/faucet combo at Lowe's. I threw it all on to make Saturday morning a real quality experience. Today, the "stainless" steel sink is rusting (three whole days before pissing me off--that's quality). Apparently, "stainless" only refers to a coloring applied to the metal anymore . . .
The other funny thing: Since when did you have to look out for the gauge of metal when buying a sink? While I realize that 20-gauge is not thick (it is what I used to skin the inside of my car), it should have the potential to not make the faucet list in the breeze . . .
Rallycrossing with the North TX group. There was a photographer there. If I find the photos I will link them.
I went and raced flat track for the first time in 15 months, on a completely untested and largely untuned bike.

Friday evening I got to a live music performance for the first time since 3/8/20. Same venue. Brian Molnar at Ironbound Farm, Asbury NJ
Worked on a cooling issue on the challenge car. Did A/B testing with the hood and without.
Looks like there just isn't enough air getting to the radiator. Gonna cut some speed holes in the bumper and slap in some hood spacers. Fingers crossed.
In reply to CrustyRedXpress :
If it got better without the hood, the problem may be not enough air getting away from the backside of the radiator. Hood spacers are at a high pressure area so they're more likely to make the problem worse.
While all of my friends were running the Weatherly Hillclimb this weekend, I was busy doing landscaping here at the house. The beds at the road/top of the driveway needed to be redone. Out with the old plants and mulch, in with the new. Lots of work and it would have been MUCH cheaper to go to the race. I could have gone to the hillclimb, crashed the car, repaired it and still been $$$ ahead of buying plants, topsoil, peat, fertilizer and mulch. Thank goodness this is a once every 5-6 year ordeal.
Went fast and around a lot of tight turns. Stood in the sun all day. Spent tons of money.
Also learned that my kids can demonstrate the perfect difference between fearlessness and bravery. My oldest was brave, my youngest is completely without fear...
Anyone else notice that JG (who drives the ZO6 corvette) was referred to as Wallens further down in the thread?
Should we do a mashup of their names, you know, like celebrity couples?
Well I didn't actually do it but I did decide to have it done. I had the van polished out and completely detailed.
