I was at a BBQ this evening and saw my friend Joe. This is his Le Mans
I kinda do.
I met up with my friend Mark Saturday night at the closing of drivein we used to go to back in the '80s. He brought his 500 cube aluminum Hemi swapped Challenger R/T. Runs 9.60s, looks stock, aside from the painted T/A hood.
In reply to parker :
Box flares and a 3.8 supercharged set up where the back seat would go should do.
Could always swap the m90 in favour of some big turbos.
In reply to OldGray320i :
11.2 if I recall correctly. He plans to be in the 10 second range next year. Right now it's got a 455 . The next engine is about 100 cubic inches bigger.
I can guess the relative age of the people posting by which kind of Lemans they were thinking about...
If his next engine is going to be about 100 cubic inches bigger, is he going with something non-Pontiac or with something like a Butler Performance 541ci crate motor?
In reply to stuart in mn :
Butler sounds right. But it is not a crate engine. He is builds his engines.

Man, that's going to be one bad Poncho!
Looks like the Pontiac version of my Dad's AMX, down to the Draglites, heavy tint, and ET's. 11.2@120+ with an N/A 390 and 4-speed.
What trans does Joe use? Nice car btw, I love that street machine look, especially when they back it up with stout ET's.
In reply to Javelin :
I'm not certain what transmission he's running I haven't seen the car in a couple years I believe it's an automatic.
In reply to MotorsportsGordon :
Not sure what a picture of a Pontiac OHC 6 has to do with anything...
