So you bought this right? As has been said already, it is a good deal, I paid $750 for mine and it was a solid starting point. I have flipped two hard tops so far, they are pretty easy to sell and get 75% of your investment back. If you do the work, they are easy to do, parts are inexpensive but you will be upside down if you have to pay someone else for the work. These cars are basic 50's-60's technology so easy to work on. Spitfires were and still are a great handling car that is unlike anything modern. Because they all weigh less than 1,800 pounds, they are fun to drive, but slow in stock form.
