I just bought myself a white Swift GT!
I've been struggling with buying a bar and hard top for track events with the Miata, or just buying a solid-roof car. I decided whichever I'd find first out of, say, an Escort GT, DOHC Neon, SC2, GTI, SE-R, etc., within my budget and condition requirements would be it. And I found this on CL today. A little rough, sure, but it's the new track car. I don't think I'll be doing anything silly with it, like washing it or anything like that.
Anyway, I am happy and I felt like sharing with you guys.
mega want. the swift gt had the 1.3 right? not the tres banger 1.0l?

Yep, 1.3 16v. Horsepower:
One
Hundred!
I had one a few years ago. One of the funnest cars I have ever owned. Congrats, they are getting harder and harder to find.
Score!!! IIRC, sticker rubber and front a rear bars make a world of difference in the handling.
Color me VERY jealous, I still miss mine.....

I just brought it home. My wife and daughter were out with the grandmas so I had to wait for a ride down to get it.
It has some issues, though. It pulls a little to the right, 2nd gear popout, some crinkly bodywork, only the driver side door handle works...
I'll get to it all, I'm sure, but it doesn't really matter. This car is an inappropriate amount of fun.
My wife sold one before I met her. I haven't forgiven her yet. Likely never will. Thankfully, she hasn't let me sell my first Miata yet, even when money was REAL tight.

Wow, nice buy. You expect to see something SOHC and carby'd under the hood, but that little twin-cam looks the business.
Check out teamswift for info, and don't be afraid to ask, if you have any questions! A few minor mods can make it even more fun.
I drove one of those at a GRM test in Palm Bay back when it was new. It had the pulse rate of a hummingbird.
