I was passed by this in NOLA today. It's a right-hand drive ute, with what appear to be Mexican plates. The front looked vaguely Chevy II, but the sides looked Plymouth. It seemed smaller than a Chevy II also.

I saw a Citroen 2CV on the road today in Brattleboro Vermont.

There is a place here that seems to be in the movie car business. Always a few interesting cars parked out front, where they can be seen from I-10. Should be on your way home.

I saw a 2cv autocross once. I didn't realize a single vehicle could produce enough body roll to put the centerline past a 45 degree angle and have most of its wheels still on pavement.
Looks like a valiant ap5/ap6 or vc ute. But the rear bumper is wrong for the Aussie model.
Edit, not accounting for options in other markets, that rear bumper actually looks to be a wagon rear bumper.
Did the front look like either of these?
VC
Ap6
Normal ute rear bumpers
Ap6 wagon rear bumper
Also, crow cams is Australian, so it just might be ex Australian... though stickers don't really mean much.

You win the internet today! It was definitely a VC, but apparently had the wagon rear bumper. He overtook me from behind, but I didn't realize it was anything that unusual until I was behind him.
In reply to Mike:
I keep meaning to stop by that place. I've seen a Citroen DS wagon ambulance out front a few times that looks really sweet. Though I figure it's safer if I just keep driving past... There's also a lot in Slidell that sells nothing but Jeeps, which I've never seen anywhere else either.
That's awesome, I wonder how the hell an old VC Val ute found its way there?
You don't see many early valiant Utes here these days, it blows me away to see one so far afield.
