Grease gun.
Where do you keep these stupid things? I've tried hanging it on the wall, then it just drips. For awhile I had it in a trash bag in the bottom drawer of my backup toolbox. Then it was just a mess when I tried to use it. I even bought one of the expensive aluminum ones hoping it would leak less, wrong. Teach me.
Mine stays wrapped in a rag around the head and hose in a dedicated drawer
Theres no good solution in my experience....
I hung a stainless steel bucket-type thing on the wall then put it in that. When it drips it runs into the container and doesn't get on the handle.
It's got its own special hook out of the way of everything else
Big zip lock bag on the back shelves next to the grease tubs......
It goes back in the case.
In one of my plastic oil change pans
Wrapped in Plastic target bags.. Then have a rag ready to wipe off before use.
Hanging from the tire rack above my work bench.
It doesn't seem to drip nearly as badly in a temp controlled environment.
By the air compressor on a nail. Pneumatic one does not drip at all. Non powered grease guns are lame
Thanks for asking. I kept mine (past tense) in one of the drawers of my tool box, where it soaked the foam drawer liner. I'm pleased to have input into improving my choices in the future.
Release the pressure in the hose before storing?
I don't have that issue.
I have all of mine in a 20L pail that I keep with my oil change stuff.
Easier to have different guns for different grease. The bucket contains the inevitable leaks.
Hung on a wall above my oil change bin. It drips into my plastic bin so I don't want to throw it into the neighbor's back yard.
In the trash can. Handle on the outside, tube & hose dangle inside the trash can so all drippings are contained.
You can see it on top right. Has its own caddy.
Inside a plastic kitty litter bin, along with the hand pump that attaches to gear oil bottles.
in an old plastic toolbox, with various other messy things (like gear oil pumps and tubing)., which in turn sits on top of my two oil drain pans. I don't even bother opening the lid until my nitrile gloves are on my hands lol. .
Hanging on a hook, with a zip lock bag rubber banded around it to catch the leaking.

i like that. next time i need oil-dry, i'll buy it this way.
Hanging on a hook, low on the wall, dripping.....................occasional floor clean up with brake clean.
Also just encountered this problem on a hot day, gross!
This looks like an awesome solution, and readily available. I need to make a few now.

Mine is in a clear plastic tote. Yes it gets messy inside, so I need to wipe it off when I use it. Otherwise, no mess.
