I find myself more giggling about the V4 he can make from the discarded parts

Why does this come off as a worse idea than a 6 rotor?

I'd probably giggle at a 200hp 3.0 litre 4 cylinder as well. In a "look at that dude with the vestigial tail" sort of way.

The 12 is spectacular, but I agree that a 4 would rock my socks. Single turbo, 400 horses, would fit so many places.

I want the 4 in my bike. I want the 12 in many many things. I feel kind of like the poster in the LStech thread that said "I just shat my brains out"

Someone needs to put the V4 in a Saab.

I would put the V4 it in my 924s Think it would make 200 HP? Or.. . . Add forced induction and get to say 250-275? It would move the weight back a bunch an imagine the room in the engine compartment!!!

Motus makes a V4 out of the LSX. Also has independent throttle bodies!

Only here would so many people take a post about a V-12 and turn it into a V-4 thread.

Why not? While the V4 is inherently rougher than an I4, the packaging advantage are wonderful. It is a dense little engine that fit neatly against the firewall of any other car and leave tons of room in the engine compartment and move the Centre of gravity backwards.

It would also allow the car makers to lower the nose on new cars again as all that empty space could be used for pedestrian safety

Nice. I'm thinking this, turbo'd in a Miata.

I think one of those V4's would be a natural fit for one of the last 20 Opel GT's that hasn't returned to the earth. :)

Both are very cool I was thinking V4 for a rail buggy or Honda Fit.
