Z for me. The first Japanese car to compete effectively with the more expensive sports cars like Porsche, maybe the first mass-production car to do so. Very significant historically, with iconic looks. Still relevant today. The Z was like a look into the future.
The TR6 is like a look backward: old-school british roadster. They are cool and I like them, but I'm not a convertible guy. Nice sound. I really enjoyed my one opportunity to drive one. But the headlights sucked. And on the front straight, when I shifted from second to third, the rear end sidestepped about three inches. Wha?!?! Owner said, oh, all TR6s do that, it's the way the rear suspension is designed. Whoa!!! That's a neat quirk, but definitely a little weird to feel it.
I'll take a Z with headlight covers and the rear lip spoiler.
