Drive Angry is in my Halloween rotation because of the satan worshippers.
Muscle cars, guns, nekkid chicks, what more do you want?

Dual - Dennis Weaver. Awful and great - I get sucked in every time.
We need to man up when real racing was going on.
Thunder Road with Robert Mitchum, Keeley Smith, and Gene Barry.
'57 Fords and Chevrolets blasting through Deal's Gap on US129.
What could be more entertaining?
nlevine said:The original "Gone in 60 Seconds" (not the Nicholas Cage remake). Low budget, has a Jensen Interceptor in it as a theft target,
It's easy to get this wrong. The Interceptor was actually in a movie called "Speedtrap" with Jo Don Baker. It's a clear copycat of GIS but from the perspective of the police detective after the thief. Here's a poor copy of the chase scene: https://youtu.be/9zXyDuFrXTE
The car is featured in the movie poster, which I have on my wall with one for GIS.
For a 'B' movie "Speedtrap" actually isn't horrible. The Interceptor used in the movie actually still exists and was restored.
Why not both?
Maindrian walking past the stolen Interceptor while going to pick up and return the uninsured Eleanor.
(and now I have a movie I have never heard of before yet suddenly need to watch, like, right now)
Well, you got me on that one. I don't recall he actually does a scene where he steals that Jensen though. Most of the cars in that warehouse scene were actually Toby's.
Bobby Deerfield with Al Pacino as an F1 driver. Not the greatest. More of a love story but with some good car/racing footage. I vote for Grand Prix.
My vote has to be the world's fastest indian because its actually a good movie. But if we're talking strictly car porn then two lane blacktop, that 55 is bonertown.

Did anyone else suddenly have multiple MST3K episodes starring that anthropomorphic top-round Ham, the instant they read the name Jo Don Baker? I swear I can hear Tom Servo singing "Roast beef sandwich" right now
No one is likely to agree with me on this.
Hand drawn anime. Took 7 years to make. Not a great plot but insane Wacky Racers cars and bonkers racing with completely unexplained major plot points. I like weird anime though. Akira anyone?

The only, ONLY reason I don't agree with you, is because there's no recognizable car brands. JP's car is called a Trans-Am but in the send scene when the body gets torn off it's clearly a 3-wheeler.
Otherwise Redline berkeleyS.
Yeah Ronin introduced me to Audis, and that's good.
I really like BMW's "The Hire" short films.
No votes for Baby Driver?

They made Initial D movies loosely based on the anime and Manga. I don't mean the live action movie either.
I'm personally partial to LeMans and Gran Prix, but I'll say...
Ford v. Ferrari
It's a great movie for sure, but where it wins over all the others is that is kindles interest from an audience that may not usually watch a movie about motorsports or even motorsports directly. The acting and humor make it so even my wife will make it through a sitting. So, it's gotta be the winner.
In reply to GIRTHQUAKE :
It had 4 wheels before that scene, I think. I assume it is like the Tim Burton batmobile.
It is a trip though, right!?
Baby Driver (great continuity from scene to scene plus the match to the soundtrack)
Cars (robbed of an Oscar by that stupid penguin movie)
Ronin (I need a fast car. I need an S8.)
Grand Prix (Who doesn't like classic F1?)
LeMans (Racing is life, the the rest is just waiting)
The Italian Job (Micheal Caine AND Benny Hill!)
Heart Like a Wheel (Shirley Muldowney and drag racing)
Rush (great representation of Niki Lauda)
Ford V Ferrari (well done cinematically)
Gumball Rally (rips off mirror, tosses from Ferrari)

Great pick - the idea of it all is what I like. Living in your garage type house. Shipping your motorcycle but having no money so you work your way to the USA on the ship. Making racing tires. Pouring your own pistons.
I like it except for the toenails.
In reply to BradLTL :
The part with Henry II crying in the car was lame and unnecessary.
Ken Miles was spot on with his critique of the Mustang though.
It's been over 50 years since I watched it, but I remember enjoying A Man and A Woman. Fench, about a widowed LeMans driver & his new girlfriend.
