I think I do too. Only car more fun than an Imp is pictured below. Five times more reliable, and lots easier to source parts too.

Paddock a little too close to the course area, or what?

Been there done that, x2.

It wasn't a problem any time I ran there. On the other hand, sometimes the other runway at McGuire was kinda loud...
OK, the Fiat might have been marginally more reliable, but personally I love the Imp with the fire pump engine.
I know where there's one sitting in a British car repair shop lot in CT.
Doing a brake inspection. Road tested vehicle, pulled wheels off, found this little guy huddled up on the caliper for warmth.

After 16 years with one X1/9 and 9 years with four Imps, I can assure you the reliability difference is not "marginal". Granted my Imps were all Mk1, but they were super fragile. I later owned the Courier in photo.

I'd kinda like to see the inside of those mufflers. With the right plumbing, it would work. Or, it is a cool internet fabrication.

Not many vehicles to plumb it under. And isn't it redundant to push a turbo thru a muffler? My understanding is that some models have no muffler since the turbo control the sound well enough

I don't know what is more concerning. Someone swapped an RB into what appears to be a Peugeot 505, or why you are apparently looking for pictures of Peugeot 505s.
Google Image Search for "scott bitzer 505" gets this as the fourth hit.

The idea was that it was a hidden turbocharging system.
