I wish I could take credit for this one at work. We have a couple priuses at work for patrol cars. Each vehicle carries a couple bags of speedy dry in case a bus pukes fluid out on the road. We had gotten a new guy who had little in the way of common sense. Someone needed speedy dry and he had none so he called a friend for advice as he was afraid if he screwed up they would demote him back to driving. The told him to take the car to the basement and grab as much as he could as the spill was bad. he managed to get most of a pallet into the trunk and passenger compartment. It bottomed out the car and as he got to the top of the ramp the floor of the car got hung up and he was stuck there. The guys in the depot were in tears watching him try to free the car.

Had 2 fellows that really did not like each other parked in the same lot one day. No one else liked them much either so we told each one that we had installed an "auto fooler" on the others car. Talked them up about smoke and bangs and sparks and horrible smells.

Not sure how long they hung out waiting for the other to start their car first as we left after 40 minutes.

Properly bent metal coat hanger can make a great noise over the smallest speed bump!

About 6 strands of fishing line sounds like you hit something when they break while connecting the car to a tree. Did it to a friends truck and it worked on his rear axle...he tried it on me with about 100 wraps on my front bumper (Escort) and crushed the plastic and stopped me dead in my tracks.

Be careful guys!

One of my all-time best pranks was just a few years ago. As a kid I REALLY liked unicorns (ok I kinda still do) and my Mom gave me some stuff from her house that included an 8" round stained glass style unicorn sticker. I knew where the perfect place for it was. The back window of my friend's black 80's BMW 5 series! Man I wish I was in the car the first time he looked in his rear-view mirror.

Maybe my all time favorite car prank comes from the top gear uk mmiddle east special.
They disconnected the stock radio in Hammond's wonderful little fiat, wired in a hidden radio with a ridiculously annoying Genesis song playing at FULL VOLUME set to come on with the ignition. I laughed for a ridiculously long time.

Some of these pranks are down right hilarious, so are down right frightening!

I've done the wheel weights on one wheel, zip ties on the drive shaft, pulled the MAF sensor off a "UTi Student" just for him to sit there and wonder why his car was idling funny. Never have I thought about loosening wheel bolts or lugs. I've have had that done to me, not intentionally, and it's down right scary!!

In winter, partially fill tire with water... wait for freeze.

For my brothers wedding I hooked a car alarm up to his 3rd brake light. The church was in downtown Columbus, reception up north outside the belt... Was even funnier after I made a show of removing it at the reception to just reinstall it for their drive home that night.

There were radio controls on the armrest. My other buddy, sitting in the front passenger seat, said, "DO IT." When my friend hopped in the car, he turned on the radio, and I switched it to another station. "Hmm... that's weird." [sets it back to first station] I switched it to another station. "What the hell?" [switches it back] Did it again. "What the berkeley is wrong with this radio?!" I did this for three minutes, changing stations randomly, my driving buddy progressively getting angrier and less coherent, while me and my other buddy were cracking up. Eventually I stopped for a minute. "FINALLY! Man, I've never seen a radio..." [I crank the volume up to 11] GRRAAAARRRRGGGHHHH!" [Hulk mad! Hulk smash puny dashboard!] He literally put a crack into the dashboard! We had to reveal our deception before he tore the van apart or we died laughing, whichever came first. After the massively stinky fart he ripped in revenge, we wished we did die laughing.

So this guy owned a car with an extra set of radio controls and didn't know it?

Dead fish on top of the catalytic converter will usually do the trick.

You know, if it's a truck, they have these really cool connectors under the rear bumpers that have all of these wires. Some are powered by the brake pedal, some the turn signal. Makes it very easy to connect the previously made device in about 20 seconds.

Hooking one's horn up to the brake wires was one the TG had me in tears with.

We're talking about a guy who once owned a T-shirt that read, "I'm not very smart, but I can lift heavy things!" Nuff said.

I want to see someone hook the dome light up to the turn signal circuit.
