I guess this belongs here. Drove down to Chicago over the weekend to celebrate our 20th anniversary. While at one of the museums I dropped my wallet in the parking lot. I wasn't turned in. I canceled the credit cards, applied for a new license etc. But really hurts is the loss of the pictures. The one that hurts the most is one of my oldest daughter. I did not have a lot of money when she was little, it was taken at a shopping center with her on Santa's lap and is only one of very few from that time. Being from an analog time sucks sometimes.
I finished the garage at the current house a year or so ago. It's not huge, but it's very nice, and it is two-car size. The new house has an attached one-car we'll use for a woodshop and bike parking. It'll get a bigger garage later this year.
But somehow, right now, though I technically have two garages, but I can't get my MG out of the 35-degree wind tunnel between us and the neighbors for the tiny amount of tinkering I'm willing to do under such conditions.
I should probably be doing more move-related stuff anyhow.

Cheer up. We had a computer hard drive crash AND the external back up drive die. YEs, really. We lost about six years of family digital photos. Living in a digital age sucks sometimes.
Woke up out of a weird dream at one o'clock this morning. Laying there, trying to go back to sleep, and think I can hear a random intermittent rumble. After half an hour or so, confirm that something, somewhere is making a noise every few minutes. Turn off c-pap. No... Too cold for ice to be melting off the roof. Fridge compressor piling up? No, it's back down the hall. Computer fan? No, it's asleep, and the noise is even farther down the hall. There's nothing in my bedroom...Main bathroom.. Can toilets rumble? No, medicine cabinet.
Daughter moved out five years ago, but left behind an disposable electric toothbrush in a ceramic holder. Switch has shorted out somehow.
No sense going back to bed for a while now.
I paid off $7000 in debt last month with my tax return and bonus.
I'm now about to spend $1500 to have some annoying Bradford Pear trees and a dying evergreen tree removed and stumps ground.
Waiting on Lo-profile banjo bolts from Flyin' Miata for the front Sport Brake calipers on my MSM (Miata Mazdaspeed) so I can put 15" wheels on it.
OEM bolts rub a little and I am leery of grinding on brake parts. Mrs. Jharry3 wants to know why I needed new wheels when I have some already...

Nipped the end of my left index finger off with my new ultra sharp carrot peeler while attempting to peel carrots. I guess I should have stuck with the old dull one that I had.
I just spent an hour sorting about 120 air bleeds back out after having dropped the box of them on the shop floor. Even with my glasses on I can't read the numbers on them so I was using the magnifier app on my smart phone to read them.
The vinyl I bought 15-20 years ago and have stored on a top shelf in my garage is a little wrinkly to use as is. I might have to iron it before using it on the door panels I'm making.

Was that a Spam canoe?? One post to report Spam?
Taking Nyquil to battle a nagging cough at 2:45 am will mess up your morning. Ugh.
SPAM canoe, but...
1. cryptocurrency won't growth
2. government corruption
3. money inflations
I really want a Chevy SS sedan aka Holden Commodore with a Manual trans, but they’re holding their value pretty solidly, so I’m probably going to buy my buddy’s 135i instead.

Make peace with the fact that two pedals are better than three for most daily driving, save a E36 M3 ton of money and buy one anyway?

I’ve driven a manual SS and it was so friggin’ good that it’s currently the only car I really want. Honestly, if my current E60 had 3 pedals, I’d just be shopping a Focus for my kid. Instead, I’m looking at:
2015 ATS 2.0T 6MT at about $24k
2015 SS 6MT at about $38k
2015 Challenger RT Plus 6MT at about $24k
or my buddy’s 135i 6MT at $9k
In reply to AngryCorvair :
And for the last few months the SS was available, they were being disounted 20% off MSRP across the board.

I’m trying to figure out if a 100x50 will be big enough for the new garage. Time to lay some cars out and start measuring.
I left some leftover pizza at work on my toolbox, just realized that I forgot it on my way out the door.
I can't think of a more first world problem than wasting food.

I know what fly eggs look like thanks to pizza that was out for only an hour. I probably won't eat it on Monday.
Well, unless I'm really really hungry. Like that morning-after at a 2 day RallyCross when wae was cooking up some sausages on his little grill and somehow they got covered with ants and I ate them anyway, because I was too hungry to care that some of the sausages I was eating were still alive and somewhat exoskeletal. If those ants didn't want to be et, they wouldn't'a been on my sausages.
(MY sausages, dammit. I am berking territorial when it comes to food. Especially Sunday morning after rallycrossing and drinking all the beer, but I repeat myself)
Im out of girlscout cookies. I should have bought 2 cases instead of one.
Am going to have to go on 2000mg/day low sodium diet and the list of things I can't eat is so long they should have just condensed it down to "you can eat some veggies, most fruit, and drink water (but not softened or maybe even tap water).
Definitely a first world problem to have to be choosy about what to eat.
